Dymocks Sydney reviews
35Upstairs is a cafe which i so so so worth visiting, i will be going back again and again. Loved it
Always a pleasure to visit Dymocks, friendly staff!
Infinite number of treasury.
Thanks
Beautiful store, recently refurbished with knowledgeable staff who are keen to assist. The only downside is the cafe service - aloof and snooty.
Dymocks loyalty reward points gone downhill! Have to spend a small fortune in books to get very few pointsWhere is the recycled plastic bags! Come on, recycled plastic bags are a solution to a growing problem! My books ended up water damaged! Wet paper bags! Bought book, writer admits to 'lifting'2 chapters from another book! Doubt bother buying anymore overpriced books! Paid for $35: 00 book, 90%was just full of other peoples quotes! From other books! Stay safeDymocks has little respect for it's loyal customers with latest data breach. Had to find out from 6: 00news! Talks cheap about loyalty an integrity if you don't Truly back it up, esp with high $$$Bookstores charge! How many trees does dymocks go through? ! How can a book price$$$ go from $29: 95 to $55: 95 in a single day? ! Do not treat customers like dumb idiots!
Great place to stop in and have a look at books. Solitude in a bustling city. Get a coffee in the terrace cafe. Watch the shoppers come and go.
Lovely environment, wide selection of books (especially fiction) and helpful staff. The vibe is nice and open, with plenty of seats and even a café upstairs. The reason this store isnt ranked 5 stars is because shopping here will cost you a small fortune, your left hand and your firstborn son. Books are fairly reasonably priced, if not on the expensive side, but everything else is beyond ridiculous. Simple puzzles cost upwards of $40! But overall, the vibe and range is nice enough to make up for it. Sort of.
A large and well laid out book store. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a book this is the place that will most likely stock it.
Worth going here with no particular book in mind. The place has so much selection you can easily walk out of here with ten or twelve books.
Great selection of products. Unfortunately we live too far away for regular visits.but this distance is lucky for our bank account.
My favorite bookstore in Sydney for new titles and gadgets. Staff is knowledgeable and always happy to assist.
Strong selection of books, although not always the best pieces. Definitely spent several thousand here. The highly academic or older titles are often not stocked.
Three stories of books. Not many bookstores like this left. Incredible range of books on every subject. Very knowledgeable, helpful and passionate staff.
Love a good bookshop. Purchased Olympic Game History book. They only had the one! So close to the Olympic games in Japan.
Lovely book shop with lots of stationery selections. Big section of kids' books downstairs. Oh.the food at the Cafe is good too. A bit pricey but given that you can enjoy a bookshop ambiance it's pretty worth it.
So much to choose from! Books of all genre. Cafe upstairs. Good pens, games, stationery. Worth an hours browse or more if you are a book person
Nice place for a coffee and a wander.although the Cafe staff seemed a bit unsure of what to do.
Beautiful store with a huge range of books and gift items to chose from. A large section in the basement dedicated to kids as well which is beautifully decorated and has some play attractions for kids as well. Upper level also has a cafe as well as sitting area to sit and read books. Staff are super friendly and eager to help. Booklovers can spend hours on end without ever feeling bored or inconvenient.
Best collection of tactile books in Sydney and property Australia and down. It's like a candy store for grown-ups who enjoy books
Friendly staff and most importantly a wide range of books, also not to mention the cafe upstairs where you can read and enjoy a nice meal.
Classic art deco building with that old world charm.
Ever store I visited had friendly genuine staff but the quality of the goods and services was anything but old world.
The jewelry retailers especially!
Love this hidden gem
One of my favourite stores. A great range of books, stationery and all sorts of other things. You can easily lose yourself in here for hours, so don't forget to stop in at their Cafe on the first floor. A awesome way to spend an afternoon for the book lover!
