Culburra Bowling Club

Club very inviting and appealing, front desk staff very helpful with helping to sign in, pizzas from the Cafe looked and smelt good, wish we got one however we were there for lunch and went to the bistro which was expensive and very average. Disinterested service from the bistro, bang on $50 all up for very oily battered fish, which was a shame because underneath the coating was piece of beautiful looking but of fresh fish, as well as overcooked schnitzel and a plate of rubbish looking nuggets and chips for a kids meal. Operating on a limited menu is fine, but all the more reason to do a few things properly - literally schnitzel and fish was all that was on offer in addition to a couple of Chinese options. Would like to go back but probably give the bistro menu a miss.

Pizza is 100 percent spot on and excellent value but had Chinese for the first time Thursday had stomach ache and nuasia that night and bad diarrhoea the next day

Culburra Bowling Club has a fantastic atmosphere, the team are friendly, approachable & immediately put you at ease. The restaurant delivers quality, delicious food even now during COVID & during renovations with limited facilities. I cannot wait to return.

Very long line up for the bistro (even with a booking) but the 11 of us thoroughly enjoyed our foods & drinks eventually.

Excellent food, very enjoyable, friendly staff. Found it by accident while on holiday but will definately be back.

If I had the option to give 0 stars I would. After signing in then having two older looking men look at me in the eye and tell me that what I was wearing was "provocative" was probably one of the worst experiences (as a young 19 year old girl). Then having the blame put on me when I went to management about this and basically being completely ignored about my complaints to have Phil (manager) tell me "do your best". Would not recommend this as a place for young people. (was also never informed about any dress resections until after I signed in.). Place is very outdated - would 100% recommend Club Callala instead. Wore the same outfit and was welcomed with open arms!

Service was terrible at bistro waited 1hr 20 mins for dinner to be served after we asked.they had forgotten.

250 dollars in pokies in 5 minutes pressed machine for drink service worker came to machine turned the button off and said we dont serve from machines today. Lived here for 25 years been to the club 5 times never been a fan.greenwell point callala and currarong much better service

We went here with a group of 4, and every person got there food served with intervals of 20 mins of each other almost an hour after we ordered it all together. The explanation for it was that they where running behind on the Chinese food.none of which we ordered.
One of our group ordered a margarita cocktail which is a fairly simple recipe, it tasted like sea water, that’s how salty it was, when I went to the bar to explain and ask for a replacement drink I was directed to the manager, when I explained it to him he said that that’s how it should taste and waived a bar recipe and that we were not getting a replacement because someone had taken a sip of it. I told him we couldn’t have known it tasted like sea water unless we sipped it; i said this was bad service, to which he replied “you don’t have to come here”.

To be honest I didn't find this one of the better bowling clubs to visit. The club is too dark for starters, I felt like I was getting up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, it was that dark.
The most positive thing I can say is that the food came out really quick.
But I didn't rate the quality at all. Couldn't wait to get out of there

We’re on holiday at Culburra Beach and this is our second visit for dinner. Quick friendly service, large servings and great food. The chicken parmigiana is enormous and perfectly cooked. My man-sized son had the beef burger twice and loved it. Sweet and sour pork was great as was the Mongolian beef, special fried rice ridiculously large and tasty. On the previous visit I had the barramundi and it was good too. They can get very busy during holiday periods, bookings recommended.

Classic bowls club in a good location close to town - they picked us up and dropped us off. Barefoot bowls team was super friendly, kids had a great time. Food is typical pub/club food, service was pretty fast even though busy. Great specials on schooners for members, and it's easy enough to become one.

Great family day out & all proceeds going to local volunteer organisations. Great job Culburra Bowls!

Nice family friendly club. Service was friendly. Recommend booking for any of the restaurants well ahead during school holidays.

Great day to take the family and play barefoot bowls. They even give you a lesson, really nice and friendly highly recommend. Join membership for one year $8, then you get great discounts on drinks and food all day, i saved a fortune payed for the membership 5 times over, cheers will be back soon.

Best lawn bowls i’ve ever experienced.aaron was extremely helpful and provided my group with pro tips.the chips at the buffet were sublime and the pizza delectable.i could not recommend this place enough.

Food was good and very generous (huge) servings sizes from the bistro. Has play equipment for kids but was closed due to covid when I went.

Awesome food. The prawn laksa special was delicious with heaps of prawns, nasi goreng was really good as well. Well worth a visit for dinner.

Extremely friendly staff from the Lady at reception through to bar service staff. A wonderful Club with all the facilities available for your enjoyment.
