Crystal Shower Falls reviews
47 There aren't many falls that you can easily walk under. The walk is moderate and the rainforests on the way have lots of beauties of their own. It is mostly paved and only slope. Definitely worth a visit.
To make it more convenient, there is a good picnic area and parking at the beginning of the track.
Crystal Shower Falls is located inside a very beautiful rainforest. Right from the very beginning of the trail, you'll feel the difference. You'll be immersed in greenery and under plenty of shade.
The waterfall is a part of the Wonga walk which is one big loop (and contains another waterfall). So, it's worth considering if you want to do the whole track.
The waterfall itself is quite pleasant, I'd give it a 4.5/5. Once you see it you'll understand very quickly why it has 'Showers' in its name. You also get a very nice 360 view of the rainforest on the bridge.
The trail itself is mostly cement, which offers a stable footing. Going to the waterfall was almost all downhill, so it was pretty easy. However this means heading back is almost all uphill. So, you'll see other hikers struggling on their way back.
The rainforest is beautiful but the waterfalls are not that special when there's not enough water flowing.
Beautiful walk. Went in 32 degree heat and it was still very pleasant. Would be great after some rain. So many birds.
This has to be one of my favourite nature walks to do, with the added bonus of having not 1, but 2 lovely waterfalls (crystal shower and tristania) as part of the scenery. Was a big walk doing the whole loop but not at one point were we bored. Will definitely do this again when we are back in the area.
Short return walk that makes the heart pump on the way back up. Beautiful suspension bridge and enchanting walk behind the waterfall. Beautiful
We just wanted to do the dorrigo skywalk and learnt there where falls, so we decided to go visit. 2.4km from a picnic area, 20 mins walk down and 40 up. It is a steep downhill all the way and then uphill all the way. Definitely worth it as you pass a lovely bridge and can walk behind the fall. It was still a little foggy, which made lovely pictures. I would recommend. Quiet a lot of parking spaces. Only 1/2 if you have a trailer.
Very beautiful falls and some great views from the suspension bridge and also behind the falls which is quite rare
Incredible! Did the whole 6.5km walk in 1 hour 20 minutes. All paved the whole way, best to go anti clockwise if you want the less strenuous way
Fantastic walk leads you to a big waterfall. Park at the Slade Picnic ground and you can save yourself part of the walk. From there it's about a 2.5 kilometre walk. It's easy going down, coming back can feel a bit steep and tiring on the way back.
Waterfall is amazing though. You can walk behind it and get some great photos.
Afterwards be sure to check out the visitor centre and skywalk.
Great walks available within rain forest. We met "Emma" the giant lizard who gave us company while we were at the rest area having lunch. She was so domesticated and chilled with us.
Visited with family. It’s 6.2km loop walk from Skywalk. Kids were a bit tired but made it. Nice walk, surly recommended.
Love walking through via the Wonga Walk. An absolutely refreshing hike through the beautiful rainforest.
Wow great waterfall. Easy 20-30 min walk down to the falls. The walk back is a little uphill but nothing to strenuous. Great views all the way around and you can walk around the back of the falls for some great photos.
Amazing
Second time I've visited and will happily visit again. The misty rain actually added to the atmosphere of the place
The only reason it takes me the 2-3hrs stated at the start is because I spent so long just looking around, taking it all in and taking plenty of photos
Found the walk hard on way back up, so need to be fit to do the whole 6ks, absolutely worth doing if capable, lovely old growth forest. The falls are beautiful.
The falls are just over a half an hour walk (it is easier walking back than down hill), but you will probably want to spend about 20 - 30 minutes at the falls, so the suggested 1hr and 15 mins return sounds about right. It's probably more of an easy walk than a moderate walk, but it can get a little cold as the elevation is very high relative to Coffs Harbour (my watch was telling me we were between 710-760m elevation, and Coffs is very close to sea level. Bring some water and wear decent shoes. Also make sure you bring a tripod or slow down the shutter speed on your camera to at least 1/3rd of a second to get some nice water effects on the waterfall.
Pretty easy walk down to the falls on a clearly marked pathway. We spent 20 minutes or so enjoying the stunning scenery when we finally reached the suspension bridge. We went on an overcast day and at times were surrounded by a misty atmosphere which made it very pretty. A bit unique due to the fact that you can walk underneath the falls too.
Great walk from the visitors centre which is all paved or other surface to keep you out of any wet muddy areas. It passed 2 lovely falls.
Very nice waterfall for nice pictures. When we visited, we saw some people already having a batch in the waterfall, even though we didn't.
