Absolutely stunning. The Japanese Gardens are beautiful and there is also some great art and other items in the cultural centre. Really glad I visited.

Well done Cowra. Really beautiful, totally worth the price of admission. Leave yourself time, and ring the bell.best resonance I've heard for some time. Respect the tranquillity.

A beautiful and tranquil garden that is a must visit on a trip to Cowra. Lovely stream all the way through the gardens and lots of wildlife to see.

I was lucky enough to visit when there were ducklings and chicks around. It was great for wildlife and still life photography. I could have easily spent a while day wandering around these gardens.

There is also a bonsai house with lots of bonsai tress that are many years old. This was a peaceful area and lovely to see.

There's a cafe on site, quite expensive but lovely cake and tea. The gift shop offers some unique gifts as well that are from Japan.

A beautiful and peaceful place to visit. The gardens are astounding and well kept. And the story behind the gardens themselves is interesting as well. We had a Japanese POW camp here at Cowra, and there was a break out of the prisoners, during the escape and the search, 200ods Japanese and three Australians were killed.
Though they were enemy combatants the locals buried them with great respect and honor. After the war this became a Japanese war cemetery and made inroads to a fellowship with the Japanese people.in the seventies Ken Nakijima a landscape architect designed the gardens and with help build and planted the place. After his death, his ashes were even interred here.

What a Beautiful place to Visit when your in Cowra. Reasonably priced can hire a golf buggy for $20.00 if you do not want to walk around. The gardens are magnificent. Friendly staff. Also has a Café. A lot of parking which accommodates for motorhomes and caravans. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommend. We all had a good time exploring and site seeing all the gardens.

Commemorating the Japanese POWs with a garden? Who organised this place? What is wrong with you!? Do you not know about the horrors inflicted on our POWs by the Japanese!?

Very peaceful afternoon walking through the garden. Enjoyed the aesthetic that exists within the constructed spaces and artistry of the garden design.

Beautiful.

We visited on a "dreary" day of light rain, but that's when the gardens take on a unique and tranquil air that only the rain can provide.

We had a wonderful lunch, coffee and a walk around the gardens, with beautiful views, gorgeous gardens and wildlife to see. We loved the coffee so much we had coffee and cake before we left!

What a stunning garden. Credit to those trained to look after these gardens in the traditional method. Serene, stunning and huge koy. Make sure you do this if going to Cowra!

Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and dog friendly!
But if hungry make sure you order by 2pm because at 2.01 they won't take your order and no one else in town is open on a Sunday. Ruined our experience, but we will go back at least we know when we eat.

Beautiful. Extensively maintained. Would love to see the blossoms in spring, and the leafy canopy in summer. (we were there in June)

What a beautiful place to visit. The gardens are spectacular, we had a golf cart to do our viewing, $20 for an hour, four people, all old farts that can't walk any distance, easily saw all the gardens within the hour. We had lunch in the Resturant, great meals in value, quality and size. Staff were happy and friendly and willing to serve. Will go back at another time of the year when there is more colour.
We all loved the place, goodonyou, we'll be back, keep up the great work and service.
