Cooper Park reviews
47A little known park with amazing scenery and a wide range of walking tracks from low to medium/high intensity.
Love this place. So near by and accessible but have a natural wild feeling to it. Great for a safe and short nature walk
To see something like this you'll have to take a trip to Mt kuring Gai national park. So calming.
Love this place. Green and lush. Pitty about having the tennis courts in the middle. The tenis courts ground should be returned to the park.
Gorgeous park, hard to believe it's in the middle of the city, parking can be a nightmare with very aggressive drivers
Amazing place to be. A full run of small but elaborate hiking trails hidden right in the middle of the suburbs. And easy hour of hiking and wandering to do here.
This little gem is not known by many but totally underrated. Such a peaceful, tropical piece of paradise that makes you feel like you’re in the middle of a rainforest although you’re just next to the busy junction. I also love that they’ve set up a “take it slow for a mo’” trail to reconnect with yourself and recharge. Absolutely stunning and worth a visit!
Great for short walks and getting close to nature - in places all the city noise disappears and you could be miles from anywhere (but you're not!)
The park has wonderful walking trails that go up the hills that form the 3 sides of the park. Walking under a tree canopy beside a creek is a delight.
You can park at the tennis courts and it has a cafe. There is also a children's playground past court 8 and some tables and benches.
I grew up in this area. Cooper park is a great place for walking. Taking your children to play.
Such impressive, peaceful scenery. A wonderful asset and fabulous government initiative to buy it from Baron Cooper.
A lovely spot but up past the tennis courts it is far too busy for the covid! Recommend going down to the larger area near the main road.
So many dimensions to the delightful park running through Woollahra and into Bellevue Hill. Was even considered as a potential site for the the botanical gardens of Sydney
This 38 Hectare partly forested recreational park sits in a cool shady gully between the Woollahra ridge, Bondi Junction, and Bellvue Hill. Given to the council in 1913 by Sir William Cooper, it has been a much loved local area for its picturesque charm and multiple facilities including a sports field, several tennis courts, picnic facilities, a café, and many meandering bush tracks. The stream that runs down the centre of the park is lined by fine examples of Australian gums and eucalyptus and crossed by two bridges.
Exceptional place to walk through. A gem.picnic huts like they were built for the Flintstones.it was the trend in the 50s to have a sandstone with cement finish on chicken wire to house your car. There are a few left on the Princess Hey.as you come over Tom Uglys bridge heading south. As you head up the hill to approach the lights at Or Hacking road.look on your right. May 4 or 5 before you get to the car dealer.
Food always tastes better in a cave like structure.
A gem in the middle of the eastern suburbs. Tennis courts, a cafe, playpark and even bush walking under shady trees.
Must see. You get sucked in to a million lush trees and the walkways blend in nicely. It’s a long walk from one side to another, some pathways aren’t well kept so you have to walk carefully. There is no sun here because of all the trees, so it’s a nice place to cool down and relax.
Looove this park.
A tract of temperate rainforest right in the middle of sydney.
You walk in and could be 1,000km away.
At the very top of the park, past the tennis courts is an amazing wooded valley. Well worth a visit. And very unexpected.
