Cooper Park reviews
47Cooper Park has a nice rainforest walk with ferns and native plants/flowers. The walk has old staircases draped in greenery and pathways leading around creeks and plants. There was a huge place for tennis players and a playground for kids too.
A walk in the forest in the middle of the city. A full map of trails is available on the west entrance (via Bunna Pl)
It's like a Rainforest amidst of Sydney.it has many short cliff walks.there are multiple tennis courts in the park, a small children's play area and canteen area where you can enjoy your meals.it feels like you are away from the city and gives a feel of being in a forest area.it was grtt visiting Cooper Park.
The Victoria Road end of the park has a grand staircase leading down to a lawn, then you can take the path on the left that descends into the creek valley or possibly a path on the right that sticks to the cliffs. Despite being near main roads, it's pretty quiet down there underneath the trees. There are several old interesting bridges and various paths going up the sides of the valley. Down the end of the valley are sports facilities, as well as some lawns and playgrounds popular with families. It's really a great urban park, offering dense forests and cliffs as well as recreational areas, I didn't have the time to walk through the park! So I took photos from here, I have even seen small turtles in the small streams here
I was recently on a trip to Sydney and this park was a highlight of my trip. I was walking from the city to Bondi Beach, and came across this delightful spot on my way, I walked through the park from west to east. I enjoyed every serene moment while walking, seeing the lush trees and running water, and hearing the bids above me. Would love to go back and be able to explore more.
Incredible rainforest-kind of park in the middle of Eastern suburbia. Highly recommend to visit at least once!
Absolutely divine, though it is heartbreaking to contemplate how much of this otherworldly beauty was chopped down to make room for the millions of houses in the surrounding area.
Very large park, it has the feeling of a reserve with it's many tracks, stairs, little creeks and bridges. Its a real pitty that it is overrun with invasive plants especially Tradescantia Fluminensis (small leaf spiderwort).
Great trails for a walk or run. Like a hidden oasis right next to Bondi Junction and believe hill.
Small pockets of old land can be found around here because they've been protected and cared for by the community and council. Gadiigal people hung around this safe water hole and the others like it for the gully provided protection from both NE and S, SE winds which can be fierce here. This is the land of the Gadiigal people, named Eora, and located just south of Sydney Harbour.
The community keeps a tight watch on this location and report anything they don't agree with to the police. Only stay the night if genuinely homeless.
After all, homelessness isn't no crime.
A group walk from Bondi Junction, through to Cooper's Park, Double Bay & Rosebay. With beautiful sunny day, albeit the fact that it was windy, was still a fantastic day to spend time with friends.
Magnificent waterfalls and picnic areas.
Perfect for a wedding too.
Absolutely gorgeous
Sydney's best kept secret.just can't stop imagining how beautiful the eastern suburbs would have been before.
One of the best places for greenery and peace amidst the city.
Great for a picnic during summers.
The entrance to this hike can be difficult to find so see pictures. Overall it’s a nice hiking trail tucked away near Double Bay with a small waterfall that is suitable for 3-7 olds. Aside from the trail, it links up to a kids playground, tennis courts and picnic spots. Lots of wildlife can be found here from birds, bats, snakes etc. Good spot for a nature break in the Eastern Suburbs.
Love this place, dog friendly park with small trails for kids. Tennis courts and ample parking. Great for a jog and close to Bondi Junction. I love running up the big hill. If u are into fitness try going up it 10 times
Awesome little oasis in the middle of busy East Sydney. Feels like you're far away when you are doing the bush trail cliff walk.
Beautiful Park, natural fern rainforest, several bushland walks, aboriginal cave/grotto paintings, tennis courts, kiosk/restaurant (check covid r & r's)
Gorgeous park that is perfect for families. There is a tennis club and kids playground at one and and hiking trails closer to old South head road. Dog friendly and lots of shaded areas.
Great forest walk within an eastern suburb. Tennis courts nestled amongst rocks in pretty cool too.
