Coonabarabran Visitors Centre reviews
30This is one of the best Visitor's Centre ever. Free coffee for early travellers and they keep one toilet open 24/7 (quite clean too) which is very considerate for people like me who has to travel during late hours.
Ample parking, clean toilets, staff with good local knowledge. Plus the NRMA (50kW CCS and CHADEMO Fast Charger for EV drivers.
Great little visitors centre in the middle of Coonabarabran. The staff were great and were quite knowledgeable of the local area. Plenty of toilets especially if you have a few kids and they are clean. Has good information regarding dinosaur bones that have been found in the area.
The staff here are so so so helpful! They know everything about the local area and made some great suggestions for some future camping trips that we want to take. They also had a wonderful exhibit of a massive diprotadon dinosaur (well, actually megafauna) with a great bit of information about it. They also had some local Aboriginal art and a heap of other info. Will worth a visit if you're in Coonabarabran
If you're into dinosaurs, or your kids, get a closer view of dinosaur bones. There are some other items to see as well. Kids loved it.
Great place to get information on where to stop for the night or sights to see. Friendly staff.
I walked around the outside first where I discovered they have an honour wall of families who had contributed to the success and vibrancy if Coonabarabran. The info centre was very well laid out with local attractions in display first, then nearest towns and then tourist attractions further a field. Staff Amanda & Max that day were extremely helpful. So helpful I divided what I would this visit this time & prioritised attractions to see in next visit, divided geographically. A little more Xmas shopping, goods all arranged on other half if info centre.
Cool visitors centre, lots of handy information for local things to do and see, have awesome dinasour bones from ancient Australia.
Always stop here on trips home. 2 a year for last 5 yrs. Have a free coffee and nap stretch legs best spot for break.
