They only put one person on the service desk at a time. To be fair they are generally good workers but it shows that commonwealth bank only cares about the bottom line and not their customers by saving money on putting another worker on.

Would not exchange currency unless I had an account absolutely ridiculous as in the UK any bank will allow this service would not recommend
Also the teller was very rude

Good luck depositing your own money at this branch. Every single time I have come here to make a deposit early in the morning they always have one person in front of me taking waaaaay too long to get their issue resolved. No other tellers are available.
Extremely poor service!
I came to this branch around lunch time to update my details, one staff asked me to come back the next day as they were fully booked, even though I saw only 1 customer being served.
The next day I came back at 3.20, there were no customers in the bank, I thought I could get my problem solved, but the woman at the counter told me to come back again the next day as they are closing soon. It’s 40 minutes until they are closed and she cant help me with an issue that takes maximum 10 mins to fix?
I have never experienced such poor service from any bank, let alone CBA’s branch in the heart of the CBD.
I came in yesterday at 12: 40 to see someone to confirm my ID for current account and jad been told to book an appointment. As arrive at my appointment time, I need to wait 25mins without anyone coming to acknowledge. This is not good customer service if I prebook an appointment, would expect to meet at the appointment time. I cancelled the appointment and leave with frustration
The worst experience ever. Walked in to verify my personal details because their app is useless. I was kept waiting for more than 30mins. If I didn’t ask the staff again, I would’ve been kept even longer. Ruined the day for me.
Really annoyed with thier coins and notes deposit machines, Max 2kg of coins deposit at a time and max $1000 for notes deposit at a time, took me longer than normal to finish 1 transaction
The branch has very helpful staff and they attend to your query instantly. I had a pleasant experience operating a bank account with them.
Be warned - help is only by appointment at this branch so you need to go in, get a time (if they have any) then go back later and wait again. You effectively need to take a day off work to get anything done
Staff here were so useless and not friendly. All they can do is to ask me call the bank directly. Made the call on the spot and showed them I need to wait for 2hours to be answered. The manager promised to help with my enquiry but so many days later. Nothing happened! Do not waste your time with them!
The coins deposit machine seems never work, furthermore, the two ladies in the front told me to go to a teller so that they can help me, which the teller unable to help me either, then I went back to the ladies, there were standing there doing nothing, laughing and told me if the teller can not help, they cannot help just have to wait for the machine get fixed. You really should cut more staff to save your wages, that was absolutely waste of money and most disappointed customer service I have ever received. Do not business with Commonwealth bank at all.
Not helpful at all. The staff didn't know anything about thier ongoing system issue. All she did is telling the information already showing on your app.
The staffs were not friendly and not helpful at all. All they did was to ask me to call the phone banking. Why would CBA keep these people if things can be done online. I asked for a statement but still haven’t received anything after two weeks. This is ridiculous.
This branch has recently moved into a nice new building about 50 metres north on the opposite side of the road, and it's fantastic to see. The staff here are usually pretty good, and now with a new branch it should be easier for them to serve customers faster.
For an unknown reason I am locked out of my commsec app and have been told to call to unlock my account. I use Face ID to log in so it makes no sense why I am locked out. Been on hold for 30 minutes. You make $3b in profit a year, improve your systems and customer service
Been with CBA for 21 years - had similar experience as someone else who gave a 1 star rating for a credit card application and ended up having to cancel it. I just went into branch to make an appointment to close my CBA accounts as I have many other bank accounts including ING direct which has no fees, and she made it very difficult, even sarcastically saying you’ve been with us 21 years so thanks for that (not making eye contact) and didn’t secure an appointment time with a specialist in branch so I can organise to shut it down. She took a long time on computer looking half heartedly (perhaps on purpose) and I ended up leaving. I’ll just go into a local branch nearer me and try to make an appointment to speak to someone for the advised half an hour in order to close some accounts. If anything they should be extra nice to a loyal customer of 21 years not dismissive now that I’m on my way out.
I have been a CBA customer for 20 years. It took 20+ days for a credit card application that resulted in me having to cancel due to the incompetent credit card staff not doing their jobs and leaving my correct and qualifying uploaded documents but refusing to check it.
Quite frustrating earning 80k + and being told to wait almost a month for the lowest credit card with a
$1500 monthly limit is absolutely pathetic.
Such a shame since the staff in-house are doing their jobs but the office workers are absolute bludgers and refuse to do minimal work.
Will be moving bank, avoid CBA and strongly do NOT recommend for any new customers. Anyone reading this save yourselves precious time and effort and go to another bank.
