Commonwealth Bank reviews
32It’s a historical building and there’s a plaque inside to describe it, but they don’t allow you to take pictures, and worse, ask to check your phone to make sure any photo is deleted. Lol I haven’t even taken any.
Be prepared to wait at least 40 minutes to get seen, even for the most simple of tasks. Massive building but no staff, terrible experience.
Enormous, unimaginably wealthy bank that can only ever have 3 or 4 tellers max at one time. Inefficient to say the least.
Had an appointment at 12: 30. Arrived on time and waited. At 12: 35 someone walked in without an appointment was arranged to jump the queue. At 12: 50 I was eventually accepted by another staff. No apologies.
Have loved this branch because staff are helpful. But today's experience was upset.
I love some of their staff and feel sorry for the rest. They always train NEW people, sigh. I hate the fact that they charge for almost everything. Few staff at counters so longer queue. I love the building though.
Been a loyal customer for over 20 years and wish I changed banks sooner. They changed the name to their product and I was still being charged the interest + fees of the old one. Asked for a refund but they only offered to pay 1/3 of the fees back (was charged interest and fees since 2010). Took it to FOS and they told me they couldn't do anything due to their new clause that states in clause 3.2.2: “When we won’t charge monthly account fees…If your account was opened after 31 May 2010 and you put in at least $2,000 each month. "
There are better options out there that you just need to shop around (Currently with ING). So yeeeeeaaa naaahh to CBA
Staff is inexperienced. Only one guy out of five could help. Long waits. I have to tell them differemces between individual and trust accounts. They made several mistakes in several circumstances (opening a bank account, merging netbank ids, legal documents) that i had to correct. I have been there 3 times because it is close to my office but I will now go to another bank. It made me thinking of switching all my accounts from cba to a competitor.
UPDATE: Teller was quick for a transaction involving a credit card deposit
Helpful staff but long queues, staff standing behind the tellers desk pretending (badly) to do paper work while the line of customers increases.
I wish I could rate no star at all. I called up a staff up for assisstance recently and she was quite rude. She answered me rudely and hung up immediately. Very upset and dissapointing. I hope she gets sacked soon.
Today i attempted to ask for assistance via phone and the lady that picked up was speaking in a very rude manner and hung up immediately after my request without a proper response.
I tried calling them up for assistance and they hung up right away after saying 'No' in a disrespectful manner.
Great staff and service - Steph was incredibly helpful with organising the refinancing of my loan, couldn't speak highly enough.
