Commonwealth Bank reviews
32I needed help urgently and Charlie Yoon at this branch was awesome in assisting me in person and through phone and email.
The interior is a mix of old and modern era designs. Loved the interior. Found it not too busy. Stuffs are welcoming and helpful.
Currently the entry is only through Elizabeth street due to some construction work.
Wonderful experience, as complete strangers to Australia they took such good care of my partner and I. On the dare of our arrival we got an account. Jose especially was a huge help! 10/10
Amazing, José helped us so much with getting our bank account on track. Can definitely recommend, so efficient and yet friendly!
Avoid at all costs.
This bank is host to scammers and con artists. They dont try and combat scammers and there ineffectiveness essentially amounts to an invitation to join.
Never pay commbank customers as the bank itself accepts scammers and deliberately employs no tools whatsoever to combat them.
In fact the extent of Commbanks security policy is to send a 'please dont steal' letter.
Called 10 times in 5 days, always "we'll call you back" and disappeared. Hopeless.
Worst bank ever! Full of thieves and liars. Check out all their fake new reviews trying pathetically to get their rating up. Give my Husband his money back you scam artist's!
This is one of the better branches I've been to, and thank you Charlie for your excellent customer service today with discussing my home loan rate.
If you are looking to open up safe deposit at this place, do not choose this branch. The workers here are extremely low at efficiency and have condescending attitudes towards people of colour (I’m Asian). The service stand varies higher if you’re white. I was made to wait more than 3+ hours to open up a bank safe on a Monday afternoon.
Had great banking experience with the young teller at the front (sorry I forgot to ask for your name), Paula the concierge and Charlie the customer service specialist. They listened carefully to my banking needs, advised appropriate account to use and provided the necessary documentation. Not to mention the interior of the building is so classic and beautiful.
Staff were dismissive and trying to rush discussions with minimal information to just get you out the door. Gave me misinformation and wasted my time.
Worst Comm Bank service ever. Just to exchange $50 USD. They took around 40 min and 5-6 staff change!
Desperately they need to change the this kind of system in the busy street like this!
Mr. Nikhil at the teller counter is just talking with the customer instead of work and he have big attitude like he is the deputy manager of the branch. Stop talking start working specially while you work in teller counter! This is bank teller not doing surveying company. These people Need commando training for teller job.
And finally one gentleman from counter saw me sitting in the stairs with full of anger face due to poor service and call me to do my exchange! Thanks
Rude customer service from a manager "Charmaine".
Treats customers poorly, also has a chip on her shoulder from personal problems which are not appropriate at the workplace.
Lovely service from the other tellers though.
Much thanks to Victoria, Jackie and especially Aydin from the Business Transactions team for their excellent service during with an unexpectedly difficult issue. Other places wouldn't have been as patient or helpful!
I was greeted by Cindy who was friendly and helpful. I was then taken to Victoria T who was also professional, helpful and friendly. Thank you, ladies.
Amazing staff, amazing building. The banker helped me with getting a loan for my small business struggling with the covid-19 shutdown. He was empathetic, honest and treated me like a friend, helping me in every way possible. Very grateful to be banking with CommBank. Staff are competent and solution focussed.
The branch; the Commonwealth Bank In Martin Place
The teller staff and manager are really terrible with the customer service.
Someone should look into this branch, as I have witnessed today - how stressed they made an old lady feel. Took all out of proportion, never helped to resolve the issue, only abused a loyal customer. Kept her there over one hour, didn’t allow her daughter to assist though authorised.
Used So many abusive tactics and stand over tactics to make the customer feel helpless. Ignored and enjoyed just giving them the run around and never once apologising and helping arrange a good solution to both parties
Only interested in covering themselves, silencing you and losing touch about good old customer service.
Stay away from this Branch “”” or even change banks
Demand respect and better services
Absolute poor customer service / approach
Chatting to Nisha while waiting in the queue was the highlight of my week. I wish more companies took this initiative to reimagine the customer’s waiting experience. Incredible customer service and overall experience - thank you!
This branch does not answer their phone. Waste of time. Called the main CBA, not even their internal workers can reach their office. Ridiculous. Waited over 31 minutes on hold. Shame on your poor service.
Rude rude rude. I went there to hand in a credit card I found in the street. Some young guy with attitude said give it to me. I said ok but I'd like a receipt. He said no receipt. I insisted. He went away and came back with another young guy who had the same affect and demeanour (as did the first guy) of a bouncer at cheap night club. I said I would like a receipt. NO! I said is there a manager. Shortly thereafter a stocky weightlifter type appeared - invaded my personal space. Pointed a finger at me and declined initially to identify himself. Accused me of taking photographs. The three then surrounded me and asked me to leave. I did. - with their clients credit card. Their behaviour was what I imagine you'd find in a down market club in the back of Kings Cross. Intimidatory and aggressive. I'm glad I don't bank with them - and never will.
