Chippendale Restorations

From first to last, the Chippendale Restorations service was fantastic. Stephen's guidance in choosing our new grate, gas heater and tiles was invaluable and his team of tradies was the best ever. We would recommend Chippendale Restorations without reservation.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff and they have the most unbelievable collection of period home components from doors to windows, fireplaces to tiles and light fittings with old style switches. Locks, chimney pots, you name it.

Incredible selection of antique and reproduction home renovating supplies. Lights, knobs, hinges, switches, fire places, doors, windows etc etc. Everything you can imagine is there. I love just walking around and browsing. And if you get the chance to have a conversation with Jeremy, the owner, it may just be one of the most entertaining things you do all week. Very interesting man. Very highly recommended.

I have turned to Chippendale for all the restoration needs for our old house in Glebe. Lights, tiles, hardware, joinery needs - the list goes on. One of our biggest projects was restoring the two downstairs fireplaces. Stephen and team did a fantastic job sorting out all the technical requirements and restoring the marble surrounds. We love our fires. I cannot recommend the service highly enough - both at the time of installation and any support needs afterwards.

A fantastic Alladin’s cave of heritage and recycled bits and pieces for your terrace or federation house. Repairs, replacement of full restoration - you’ll want to get stuckinwjen you see the range of products. We fell in love with the gas fires and had one installed in our terrace fireplace. The team was terrific, efficient and clean. Steve was exceptionally helpful with product selection installation and after sales service.

We have been a customer of theirs for 15 -17 years and have acquired many items from them. Indeed, when we completely re-modeled the rear of our Victorian house in Glebe, they were the ones we chose to make all of our bi-fold rear doors, french doors and laundry doors and sash windows. Superb quality, on time, on budget. We also got wide floorboards for the rear rooms. Since then they have supplied 1 marble and one wooden mantelpiece, along with brass hardware, outdoor urns, light-switch pull ropes, fireplace tiles, light fittings etc etc.
Two years ago we got them to restore and clean one of our fireplaces and install a gas (looks like coal) fire. Again they did terrific work and left the place spotless. We did have a problem with the pilot light this year. Stephen (the fireplace man there) visited the same day, made some adjustments, did a clean, and now all good.
