Besides the opera house and bridge, this was my favourite Sydney attraction. Highly highly recommended!

One of the surpising highlights of my Sydney trip. This unexpected hideaway in Darling Harbour Square was a great place to wander and filled a couple of hours while waiting for our late afternoon departure. Highly reccomend this hidden gem. $8 Adult entrance fee.
Also houses a pretty teahouse if you have the time.

We spent approx 90 mins wandering. So many little delightful moments, and places to perch and enjoy the peace. Also the gardens are well located surrounded by lots of cafes, restaurants and an easy walk from the city

Nice little garden. Peaceful with places to take pretty pics. I wish the garden had more flowers.

A quiet haven right next to Darling Harbour. Birds, koi and lizards were unexpected and added a fun dimension to the walk around.

Easy to follow paths and some small niche areas to explore. Amazing plants and a waterfall all added to this visit. Noting that it's not for the mobility impaired, walking paths uneven and stairs aplenty.

I've been here multiple times. If photography is your thing I'd go as late as you can. The garden closes at 5pm. Then the light will be better. This time i went during the middle of the day. Light is harsh, but you can get nice spots of shade.

As far as a place to relax, it depends on how busy it is. It's possible to find a quiet spot, but try and stay clear of the tearooms, the area there gets noisy.

It felt like the gardens need a little clean up too. I remember the upkeep a few years back was better. But again, they are doing some renovation in one or two places at the moment (Oct. 2023).

It's still well worth your time to visit.

A charming and peaceful attraction in the middle of a hustling city. Quite picturesque and a place kids will love to stroll overlooking miniature waterfalls, bridges and sculptures. Loved our visit to this place. Tickets cost $16 per adult, kids free.

I loved listening to the water. There is a very pretty restaurant and cafe also. Entrance was $8 we booked in advance but people were able to purchase tickets onsite. Love these gardens can”t wait to visit again!

Such a beautiful garden, we got some great photographs there back in 2017.
I remember, I dropped my prescription Tiffany sunglasses somewhere in there during my visit, realized I had lost them at the end of the day, so I called the next day. They were able to located them and emailed me as soon as they did - which was in time just before I went back to Canada!
I was extremely impressed!

An absolutely gorgeous place! Can't believe that this Chinese garden exists in the heart of Sydney.

I could spend several hours here just chilling in a pavilion and soaking up the serene atmosphere, watching the beautiful koi fish. I'll be back with a book and hours to spare next time.

Many bonsai, paintings, stones, artefacts and the dragon wall were shipped from China and it's the backdrop for many Hollywood movies. When creating it, they had the vision of making it the most beautiful Chinese garden outside of China and I believe they've achieved it!

Many great spots for photos which are spread out and the place is also not particularly crowded even at 1pm on a Saturday, so snap away!

Love the traditional Chinese corridors, lanterns, architecture and other beautiful details. It seems like much thought and detail was put into the building and construction of this garden and it's worth a visit for sure!

A hidden gem tucked away in central Sydney. Loved the ponds, waterfalls, Koi fish, walkways, pergolas and the plantings. The use of various levels in the fardens makes it seem very large.

Fantastic oasis from the bustle of the nearby city. It's not a huge site but it seems to do a good job of appearing bigger than it is. It can be busy, but it's nice when you manage to find a quiet spot to contemplate the peacful surrounds of the beautifully-manicured garden.

Great, very peaceful even with big city noise. Finding zodiac animals was fun even as an adult. Would be. Great experience for the kids to find the animals, keeping the Entertained while the adults walk around

Nice garden in the heart of the city. Good place to sit and relax during week days. Weekends are bit crowded. 6$ entrance fee for adult and 3$ for kids. Family of 4 is 15 $.

An amazing place full of God's creation.
Lots of secret delights around each corner or step.
Then rest awhile to have a cuppa or a meal.
Listen to the restful sounds of water.
Creatures in the water and birds.
Cosy heaters and lap rugs.
Spend a day, an hour or whatever.
Today a wedding. Dressups for anyone. A lovely family taking their grandparents around too. With young ones clambering around with ease
