Absolutely one of my favourite shops.you can find many stuff at a fantastic price with the option to return it in case of an issue. Everyone knows when you buy something as second hand, used, leftover or whatever is not brand new, there is always the risk to encounter some problems but here is not like Facebook market place, here you can go there and give it back if you are not satisfied. Only thing that made me remove a star is because the customers have to know what they're going to buy and what is the actual price of it. Sometimes (very few occasions) the items doesn't worth the price!

Best place to buy and sell used technology, games and movies. Helpful staff and well maintained store. Plenty of choices of phones tablets drives movies and games.

Didn’t buy anything but the kid was awesome at customer service. Definitely getting my next console here.

Very good for finding old school retro things but they dont test their products and seem to not pay attention to the products they are selling.i have had multiple problems with purchasing plastation 2 controllers to buying fake original xbox games i just bought 2 xbox games advertised on their website to be compatible with "PAL" xbox consoles which it displayed on the photo and when they came they both were American so they wont work on my console. THEY DONT TEST the products they buy from customers so you will most likely have to make multiple trips back to stores as half the stuff you buy does not work. Also purchased 2 ps2 controllers which both didnt work put them both under my membership well thats what the staff said they did and when i went to return them 2 months later as i could not be bothered to drive 35 mins (which is my closest CEX store) the staff told me they have no record of my purchases and refused to swap them or refund me. Left this review here for new CEX customers to be careful with what you purchase
i never leave reviews and i think this is my first one i have ever left. CEX is a good concept but isnt reliable with their products

Place to be for all your used electronics, DVD's (seriously who buys DVD's anymore) Phones and Games. Staff are super cool

Great place to get second hand things, pitty that when you hand in things it's not a reasonable price. I recommend coming here to get those old movies you've been wanting to get, and box sets!

No problems at all great for selling old tech and picking up cheap second hand tech. Prices advertised clearly on website so you can check before entry.

Good range of entertainer and electronics. Traded in 5 PS4 games and got a store credit of $79 where cash price would have been $45

Great range of blu rays and dvds friendly staff. Some items seem to have a steep price considering brand new prices, some items are the same price as brand new in other stores.

Sold/swapped an xbox one for ps4, didn't accept control due to some slight issues with the d-pad, had to get the other one from home.

THEN

They swap me for a PS4 with a dodgy HDMI port that needs to be wiggled to work, but apparently they check "everything" but didn't notice the HDMI on the PS4 was dodgy.

So which is it guys, you should of noticed the HDMI issues when testing

Also the charge cable they gave me for the controller was frayed and had exposed wires.

Now its too late to return or swap for another.

I've been here multiple times over the past 3 years and it varies from brilliant customer service to losing my apple watch (which was later found out of its box and dumped in a bag full of DVDs that I had also handed in) admittedly it was sorted out but still a negative experience and won't be handing in anything else to them

Prices for pre owned damaged Xbox controllers are more then rrp brand new at eb or jbhifi, I’m sure you would rather pay 95 for a blue controller that’s brand new from eb games then 110 for a blue controller that has ripped thumb grips and scratches absolutely disgusting.

CeX is a bit skewed towards the buyer side than the seller despite being an "exchange" - you definitely get a much better deal most of the time being the former rather than the latter. It's a great place for picking up some used tech, although there are a few caveats.

Not everything is always at 100% functionality (although that should be expected), and while they do have a warranty specific employees can be pretty flaky about fulfilling it (while others are perfectly helpful). Mix of good and bad experiences in this department.

The prices are usually great compared to brand-new hardware, but like everything else it's a bit hit-and-miss with some pretty much being just as expensive (or even pricier, for some reason).

Lastly their item sorting and labelling is subject to human error, as with everything else. Be careful when buying and make sure you're familiar with the product you're eyeing, as I've noticed many times that items have been mis-labelled as a higher-end version (aesthetically identical), for example.

I just walked in to this store and the girl at the counter started laughing at me. Way to make a person feel bad about themselves. Other than that the product range is fantastic and the prices are great.

This place is a sign of urban decay. Don't shop here, or sell anything here. They prey on the vulnerable and the weak.

Been to the Hornsby store a few times now. Very decent prices compared to 2nd hand games at JB HiFi & EB Games. However, their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Yes, they are friendly & polite, but tend to gossip a lot with certain customers (presuming that they know each other by the manner that they were talking). Each time there has been a line up of several customers even though there were 2-3 staff members in the store (behind the counter) each time.

Fantastic place to update your phone, they have second hand reconditioned electronics and an amazing replacement warranted, I get all my kids phones there and my last current model phone as well

Updating. Double five-stars. This is the best place. Lovely staff and great service. Really do everything to help. Why buy new, when you can buy here with a better overall experience!
