Centre for Women's Ultrasound

SCAMMER SCAMMER SCAMMER Stay AWAY from this center. They told me that the scan is bulk billed and covered by Medicare on the phone, but i was shocked when they gave me a bill of $290 at the end of the scan. They didn't even advise us when we arrived, No sign etc. I refused to pay and will be complaining it to the Australian Consumer Protection for misleading us.
I don't even understand why you need to pay extra dollars when the service is the same elsewhere (Bulk Billing) ?

I have nothing but PRAISE for this ultrasound centre. I had my nuchal scan and my morphology scans down here and all the staff were amazing! From booking my appointment to making payment, the secretaries were always so pleasant! I had two different sonographers and both times they were so kind and reassuring. They explained everything as they were scanning my baby and made my husband and I feel so comfortable throughout the whole experience. I received all the pictures via text message, including the gorgeous 3D! Thank you so much, I will be back for my next pregnancy

First time mum and I couldn't be happier with choosing this Centre for my entire journey. The professionalism shown by all staff members, the caring nature of the Dr. I know baby and I are in the best hands. Each visit has been smooth, exciting and all information provided in depth. Any requests I have are addressed in a quick/professional manner and the staff members don't leave me feeling uncomfortable for asking. The best part is - after each scan an instant SMS is sent to my mobile with a link to be able to share my little ones pics. I cannot recommend this place enough!:)

I have been here for my both my pregnancy for an ultrasound and I love it. They take their time imaging you and the baby. And the staff are so friendly and place is very clean and their toilet as well. You wait for long before they call out your name. It is also close to the hospital and the public transport like the train station and the bus stop. They also do other medical imagining. Their is also children reading books at the waiting room, to keep them company while you wait. Beautiful place, I would recommend it to go check it out.

My husband and I went for 34 weeks scan today. We had the opportunity to do it for free elsewhere but we picked this place because we wanted to see our baby in 3D. The doctor took some photos in the beginning and she said the baby wasn't in the right position so it would be difficult to get a photo. We were very disappointed because she didn't even try. So we just spent this extra money for nothing. I won't go there again.

I went here today for another scan and best scan experience I have had yet. The young lady doctor was so lovely, educated and friendly and the receptionist was lovely also. The waiting room is very cosy unlike most other medical places. They did a perfect job.

I went here for my 19wk scan and purchased the DVD and USB option. I will be having my child overseas which is the only reason for the extra purchase as my overseas doctor requested. When I went to show the DVD to my sister who is a nurse we were both shocked to see that it only lasted 10mins with no measurements of any sort. My sister had told me that they needed to give me the whole copy of the scan, she has had 2 kids and that is what was giving to her. I checked this out by calling around to other Centres and they also confirmed this. I called the Centre for Women's Ultrasound two day after the original scan, the receptionist advised me that after speaking to the doctor I should have received a DVD that lasted the whole hour of the scan. So she rebooked me in for another scan so I can have all the results on the DVD which was requested by my overseas doctor. The morning of the ultrasound I receive a call from the Center telling me the ultrasound they will be doing will only be a check up with minimal measurements lasting 15mins. The receptionist clearly advised me that my doctor overseas does not want the whole DVD as the report is enough (so I'm suppose to undermine my doctors word because the receptions knows their health system and knows what he really wants). The only other option was to sent a copy of the results and pictures to my via post. I asked seeing as this ultrasound was to be complimentary for their mistake to postpone it for the 32wk scan so I have an updated copy of the complete DVD to show my doctor. Apparently they cannot bulk bill this for their mistake but are happy to give me the $10 DVD for free. Wow what an enough is trying to make their customers happy.

I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated at this Center and would advise others NOT to go there.

Went for the scan, was being told will get the clips, staff is highly unprofessional, unhelpful and unfriendly, staff is failed to give me any clips. I felt like after taking money, they no longer care what you get or not. Even though you have been promised to give you one

I couldn't believe when the weird looking staff lady asked me that i did get the pics, how she would have reacted if she's at my place. I am sure she would had screamed out of her lungs.

I won't recommend anyone specially for those rare moments

Dr Indika Alahakoon is so professional and absolutely lovely to deal with. She made my husband and I feel so happy with the gender reveal ultrasound she was
explaining everything she was doing. We felt like we were not being rushed and she took the time with us to get some fantastic photos. We are going back there again for our morphology scan. We want to thank her for being a wonderful doctor and would highly recommend her.
