Catalina Motel Lake Macquarie

Had a lovely overnight stay at Catalina Motel. The service was wonderful and the room was very clean. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

As a motel, Catalina is a nice place to stay while exploring Newcastle, but it's a bit far from the main areas of Newcastle to go every day, and is best for a stop along the way to Queensland or Sydney.
Good place to stay though regardless, the room was nice.

We stayed for 3 nights while visiting friends/family in the area.

The management kindly put us in a room with a walk in shower to accommodate my mothers mobility issues.

The room itself was clean and spacious; air con and tv; kitchenette with bar fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. The bedding area was refurbished - great carpet / flooring. Large table. Clean, warm, lovely bed linen.

The bathroom was spacious as well.

The pool was lovely, parking arrangements and overall layout of the property was excellent.

My only ‘negative’ is that the kitchen sink and bathroom basin are one in the same.

I do highly recommend and would happily stay again. Thank you.

Simple but very well designed and equipped room, comfortable bed, great shower, terrific value for money. Super clean.

What a well run, immaculately clean motel. Very comfortable, everything considered. I am a bit of a travelling gal, so I notice the finer details. Stopped in for the night whilst attending a bike race. Shower was excellent, good pressure which is great for washing the dirt away. Beds were comfortable and I slept well.

Arrived late to a cheerful welcome and got a better price by calling them direct. Simple rooms and good value. Worked out during the night that the AC remote needs setting to Warm OR Cool as it does not have a full auto setting. At least the room was warm for the 2nd 1/2 of the night)

Simple, affordable yet very comfortable, clean. I highly recommend this motel you will not be disappointed.

We had a great time staying here for two nights with family in the room adjacent. Rooms suited us and had everything we needed, beds were comfortable, a hair dryer for the girls, complimentary toiletries, and beautiful hot water in the shower, the kids loved the pool and even swam in the rain. The table was also a really good size for board games when the rain got too heavy. Covid 19 rules in place and friendly staff.

We broke down on our car. Stayed there for couple days. Very helpful management very clean rooms. Short walk about 1.5 km into town.

Lovely and clean. Heaps if room and close to where we are visiting plus to the shops at Toronto. Very happy and would stay there again. Thank you

Excellent, clean place, quiet and relaxing, big ups to the cleaner saw the young lady picking up rubbish in surrounding areas of rooms and carpark. Great hotel

Our camping trip got cut short by some crazy weather! The service was absolutely amazing plus the water pressure was spot on!

The bed was so comfortable. Everything in the room was well clean and presentable. It was a bit of an odd layout but worked perfectly well. Nice big showers. The pool was a good handy little size. Staff are friendly and well organised. Can recommend.

I had a lovely overnight stay here. Very nice check-in process with gorgeous staff. Room clean and comfy, a bit older but did not detract from my stay. Great shower. Wish I could have been there longer! Will definitely stay again

My choice every time I work away within the area! Friendly staff and owner. Had a problem with my microwave, it was delt with straight away to make sure it was not forgotten. Very clean and beds are not bad. Ive slept on ALOT worse. Shops are close, within a 5min drive.
It has a swimming pool with bbq area that area equally as clean.
