Fiona’s phone manner & abrupt tone leave a lot to be desired. I called to enquire about a service I needed with a referral from my doctor (so I was organised & knew exactly what I needed to avoid wasting anyone’s time on the phone when I called). She was SO incredible rude, blunt & extremely condescending. I couldn’t even finish my sentence without her interrupting to tell me the service I needed isn’t covered under Medicare so I’d have to pay $600 or so out of pocket. Money isn’t an issue, I can afford that for my health & wellbeing, but she was so abrupt and seemed to focus solely on the price & the desire to get me off the phone as soon as she could. After a very traumatic experience (hence needing a specialised service offered by Castlereagh), Fiona asking me what I needed it for (I answered) and she showed absolutely no humanity or empathy for something so traumatic for me & my partner. Please read the reviews & see how many are complaining about Fiona and other reception staff. This isn’t a one off & must be dealt with. As a person that represents your company, she is letting your reputation down greatly & I’m certainly not the first one. Such a shame there are still people in these jobs with such awful attitudes. I took my business elsewhere where I was met with a polite phone manner, compassion & not the greedy need to talk money after 10 seconds on the phone.

It is the most useless imaging center…they don’t even check the referral letter (from online booking) from doctor until you go in and wait for 45 mins. They themselves are accepting that castlereagh is not good and asked us to go with some other diagnostic center. There is 0 star hence giving 1 though it’s not worth of 1 star

I had huge issues with the underground parking. The entry boom gate was not working and I got stuck in a line of cars. I rang and was told they knew it wasn't working and they could not be of assistance. Meanwhile I could not move my car and was being abused as the line of trapped cars behind me grew! Extremely stressful situation!

Reception and staff were super friendly, professional and accomodating. Got my x-ray done, in and out in record speed.

Apart from the centre itself being so convenience like appointment made, and parking space allocated, the staff both at the reception and the technicians at the back are not only highly professional but also with friendly manners too. This means you enter their centre encountering all the smiling faces which obviously brings a smile on your face too, then happy faces will continue until all parties have done their jabs and you leave the centre totally satisfied. Saying all that I personally have had the happiest experiences for some follow-up’s I have had to go through afterward. The lady on the phone was so helpful and polite too. Keep up the good job please, our society needs more encouraging people like you….

Trying to book MRI appointment for my partner. The lady was very rude and no telephone manner at all. She asks questions but when I was trying to answer the questions she interrupted me and keep saying I had to listen to her when she's the one wasn't listening. She wanted to get the answer to her questions but doesn't know how to listen and hang up on me. Very rude. They should consider reviewing the behaviour of their staff.

Excellent

Had an MRI today.

Excellent all the way from reception staff to Mri technicians. Was looked after very well from checkin at reception to the completion of mri scan. Thanks a lot everyone.

I had an MRI and when I got in the person instructing me rushed through the instructions and I was unsure about anything, and while I was in there, I had a plastic like bump on the bed plate I was laying on stabbing into the back of my head, and when I got out of the MRI, the guy asked why I was moving so much, and I wasn’t, every now and then I’l move one of my legs slightly not even a centimetre, apparently the whole time he was talking to me through a mic… I didn’t hear a THING, I hadn’t had anything given to me besides a button I’d press if there was an emergency, he was quite rude considering the fact that I didn’t hear ANYTHING besides the large clunks from the machine. And then after he told me to give the front desk all the details, WHAT DETAILS I DIDN’T HAVE ANYTHING, all in all it was a good place besides the person who was instructing me through the actual MRI.

I called up today about a sensitive ultrasound topic, being nervous I asked the staff (Tammy) a couple questions. Never have I been treated so rudely and sarcastically by medical staff before. I will never call here or go here again. Just an unprofessional and unhelpful attitude.

Hi, I had an Ultrasound on my leg last Wednesday the guy who attended to me was called Gary, he was very caring, very attentive, communication was excellent. I’m looking forward to my other leg being done this Wednesday and hoping I get Gary. Thank you so much it makes these test much nicer to deal with when you get nice people. Cheers Dianne.

They messed up my appointment and cost.made a booking 3days ago.when I actually got there, I was rejected. Cause doctor is not working there. I had referral with specific doctor.and I told that.she said "Yes you can see him and cost will be $110. " But cost was $500. I did even covid test for enter this place.

I brought my partner in for a scan today, first time we've been to this clinic. I care for her full time, she has a condition that leaves her with very little energy and she has trouble walking, on bad days she needs both her cane and to lean on me to walk.

I was told when I booked that I'd be allowed in with her, but after we'd gone in and she'd gotten changed, another worker we hadn't seen before with a noticeably ruder manner than the other came out and told us that I couldn't, I'd have to wait in the waiting room and they'd look after her in there.

After the scan my partner asked very simply for a hand getting up off the bed, and was just told to "try to roll over and push yourself up". Obviously at this point she's totally embarrassed to ask for any more help, so she managed it at the cost of a lot of stress to herself.

Being chronically ill is hard enough when medical staff are kind, and going through multiple medical appointments where you are scanned and evaluated and probed over and over is degrading all by itself. When, on top of that, staff are unempathetic and unhelpful, it does more harm than the people who casually mistreat their patients realise.

She could have either done her job and taken a second to help her up, or if she was too lazy for that, at least come and get me to do it. We will not be coming back here again.

Had a shoulder MRI scan which apparently costs almost $800 before any Medicare rebate. I had been advised the report will be directly sent to the specialist in 2 business days.

Given what I had been advised, I scheduled a follow-up appointment with my specialist for a week after the MRI scan, however, was very disappointed that the reports were not sent to the specialist when I had the appointment. When followed up, they advised there will be a further delay of another week before the reports will be ready as they are working through a backlog.

There was no communication about this delay and in the absence of reports I wasted my money on a follow-up appointment with the specialist. 2 weeks to prepare a report when I was told 2 business days at the time of the scan is disappointing and the lack of communication is unacceptable.

Staff at the centre were helpful and professional.

Unfortunately Castlereagh Imaging are way behind the times as they do not have electronic billing or banking set up!
I had to wait for a "cheque" from Medicare - then fwd it on to the company!
Castlereagh needs to modernise.and fast!
