Highly recommend DO NOT rent at any properties that are managing by them. They charge you water rate even after you vacated months later, then never replied to your email and phone calls, never refunded unauthorised payment. Very poorly managed agency.

Callagher’s inherited our run down rental property from another agency, so I really only had dealings with Ankush, our property manager.
Ankush fully understood just how run down the rental property was, and as a result I found him to be very fair, honest and pleasant to deal with.

Rented a lovely terrace house in Ultimo from Callagher. My property manager was Ankush. Easily the best property manager I've come across as a tenant - he's proactive, responds straight away, and a good communicator. Having owned properties myself in the past - he's the kind of guy I wished I had when renting out my previous properties. At the end of my tenancy, he was all over it. Moving is stressful at the best of times, but made all the more easier thanks to him taking initiative and communicating with bond cleaners, arranging new tenants, and getting my bond back. Im sure the landlord was delighted too that there was no vacancy between tenancies. Cheers, Liam.

Every step of our renting process was a nightmare.

There was a lack of communication the entire year we rented the property, and despite the fact that we personally knew the landlord there was a total disregard for us tenants.

The accounting system proved so difficult, we opted for a manual transfer every fortnight. We were charged $100 in overdrawn direct debit fees, despite the fact we provided evidence to the contrary. This resulted in 4 months of back and forth, and is still not resolved.

If you are looking for well looked after tenants, Callagher is not the place.

We have rented out our house through Callaghers for over 20 years. When we bought the house it was meant to be the family home but, for work and travel reasons, it didn't turn out that way. This made us very concerned about how the house was going and our emotional attachment to the house ws very strong. Callagher understood this and made sure we were always kept up to date on the condition of the house, what needed fixing and how the tenants were treating it. They were very communicative, easy to get a hold of and took care of everything for us. Very rarely if ever did they present a problem without also provding a solution - very important if you are thosuands of kilometres away.

In particular Dianne Cridland has been excellent. She knew the property, knew the tenanats and knew us - amazing given the number of properties she has to manage.

Having had an unpleasant experience previously with an unscrupulous agent, I was a little nervous about the sale process. However, during my first two meetings with Paul, his obvious integrity and honesty put me at ease. He gave sensible advice about the cost effective presentation of my home. He provided a comprehensive proposal, a flexible schedule for open house inspections, as well as verbal and written feedback on all contact with potential buyers. He demonstrated skill in attracting and supporting genuine buyers. He worked very hard and never exaggerated the possibilities, but delivered an outstanding result, well above expectations. Most tenants worry about returning their property at the end of lease and getting their Bond back. As, we all make some normal wear and tear but still worry if we would be charged for it or would the real estate ask us to fix it before leaving.

However, Ankush from Callagher made this whole process so easy for us and its surprising to see that such good customer service still exists.

We are thankful to him and the whole team for making things so smooth for us. He and the other team members were very helpful and supportive during every inquiry and concerns we had.
