Really disappointed with almost everything to do with my experience at this hotel. We have been constantly let down by many factors even after a 50% price increase and 10 day minimum stay policy and I would not recommend it to anyone I know.

It’s obvious that the majority of the staff do not have proper training and are consistently making errors when it comes to ordering food and drink both at the hotel restaurant and during pool side service. The standard and variety of alcoholic drinks are sub-par and would normally take 40+ minutes to arrive. Waiters are also easily distracted and we have constantly been served dirty drinking glasses.

Activity around the pool resembles a local leisure centre with the presence of oversized pool inflatables and children ignoring the “no jumping/running” rules. Staff also refuse to enforce these safety’s and we constantly had found children activity in and out of the sauna. Good luck trying to relax.

The daily room cleaners do the bare minimum as we have had rubbish left on the tables in the room. Rooms also smell heavily of mould. Room service experiences were also abysmal - not to mention having to pay a 10 dollar “service fee” for cold and late food. Might I add half way into our stay our room started to smell like sewage from 2pm onwards every day.

A few of the staff were actually very helpful and were always happy to correct and apologise for their colleagues simple yet constant errors - Eliza being one of them.

This hotel offers 5-star visual appeal, but finds its very hard to follow through with its 2-star level of service and professionalism. Byron at Byron needs a major overhaul and has lost my business. If you’re looking for an overpriced hotel with sub par service and zero relaxation factor, then this is the place for you.

The service in the restaurant is at best atrocious. There is no excuse, however it appears acceptable to the management.
Go to McDonalds the service standard is far better!

Definitely not 5 star worthy. Have stayed here twice now (prior to staff shortages too) and both times the service has been very very poor. Waiters constantly forgetting the small things, food taking too long and multiple food orders wrong. A simple coffee order takes more than half an hour. The QR code menu doesn’t have everything that the normal menu has so defeats the purpose of efficiency. Rooms aren’t cleaned thoroughly, only the bed is made, the robes aren’t even folded and put back into Used towels have been refolded as we found the same makeup stains on them.

I’ve stayed at many 5 star hotels and this doesn’t even come close to the service I’d expect for the amount of money paid each night.

One fantastic waiter Named Eliza who was constantly apologetic and very friendly but the others don’t know much about the menu or hotel in general.

The Hotel is in need of an adults only pool too like Elements.

Super family friendly resort. We stayed here with our 11 month old and found the hotel staff all super friendly. The rooms are spacious and really inviting. Pool area is also tranquil and walking paths gorgeous. It felt like a real getaway.

We didn't have a great experience in the restraunt nor did our surrounding tables. Service was slow (25 minutes from ordering a drink to receiving) and staff were quite abrupt. To be honnest it deterred us from eating back there.

Other than that a lovely say.

The customer experience i have just had with Reece the front desk receptionist was exceptional.friendly, professional and very helpful. Reece was super efficient in finding and securing an appropriate room for my and family and i. Reece then called me back immediately with a discount offer she applied to our stay. Thank you Reece.i will update this review with details of our stay when we get back.

Stayed here last year and can't wait to
come back. Big rooms in a lush rainforest with good facilities close to Byron centre.

The place looks quite nice although Dinner menu way below expectations! Staff not overly friendly. I would not eat here again.

The food.
Where to start. The host and our waiter for the night Kris kicked off with a 5 star service, his recommendations were just spot on.
From the wine to the deserts, it was exactly what we expected from the restaurant. The Ceviche was perfectly balanced and the duck cooked to perfection.
The rainforest is tranquil and we had such an amazing night sleep.
We will definitely be back and recommend the resort to our friends.
A must in Byron.

Great location just out of Byron Bay. Ready access to quiet roads for cyclists. A bit pricey, but superb facilities, friendly service and good food. We would return.

A real pleasure staying here. A brilliant environment, diverse grounds and a full array of places to walk. Close enough to the beach, decent restaurant and a cooked environment. The only small quibble is the drinks service was pretty slow. Definitely a first world problem.

Had a lovely stay! We stayed for 3 nights. Beds and rooms were really comfortable. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the trees. The rooms are well serviced and the location is really unique.

My only minor gripe was one evening we went to get a drink at the bar and it took a long time to even get a menu, we ended up just leaving to go into town to have some drinks before our dinner after waiting over 20 minutes for someone to come take our order.

Wasn't a big deal for us - we were going into town for dinner anyway.

Everything about this resort is perfect. From the stunning gardens to the pool area to the accommodation to the food to the wine list - absolute perfection.
However their staff are clearly the key to their success. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff couldn't be more helpful if they tried. From John in the restaurant to Wilhomena at the front office - this team really are A1!

We had a great time during our stay at Crystalbrook, except for the last few hours.
We noted metal sticking out from under the couch which made one of us bleed.
When we informed the staff they did not make much effort to rectify the problem
And we noted ants in the kettle after we had been drinking water from it already. There was no attempt at empathy, apology or compensation by the reception, which left us disappointed with our stay.

Been going to Byron for 20 years and this was one of the best stays I've had. Property was much bigger than I thought, well designed, walking tracks through the forest and over to the lake. Beach access straight out the back to Tallows. Pool set up on point. Staff were super friendly and accommodating, food and drinks were awesome. Room was spacious and feels like you are in a luxury treehouse. As a place to reset and relax, it doesn't get much better.

A little disappointed given the other reviews. Staff weren’t too accommodating and service especially on the deck was very slow. Accomodation was nice but was woken up by the noises from upstairs with the drainage system. Also sadly a must for accommodation but the bed was very uncomfortable proving for a pretty average stay and nights sleep. Was looking forward to a special get away.

Resort in a rain forest, pretty hard to beat that. Excellent staff and facilities and close enough to Byron but far enough away to be away from the city centre.

Well over priced juice that was served in a coffee cup at $14 each, compared to the modest $9 at Elements resort.

A fabulous place to stay. Definitely worth the money. Excellent food and a lovely walk through the forest to the beach a few mins away. As a bonus we spotted a wallaby in the bushes beside the path.

Stunning location, food was so fresh and incredibly crafted, every single staff member so genuinely lovely and helpful. We were in the adult only section which made it even more peaceful and special
