Bygone Beautys Treasured Teapot Museum & Tearooms reviews
64 The owner is mean and angry.
We were staying in Leura for a whole month. And we enjoy our tea. So, we stopped at the tea room.
We were told very brusquely that unless we bought something from the shop, we were not permitted into the teapot museum. Like it was the Tate Gallery. Seriously, it’s just a collection of teapots that one can find any day of the week in a Sunday market. Give me a break. Treasured? Really?
I then told the owner that my partner intended to purchase a Japanese teapot. So, he said, well, she can go into the museum.
Big effing deal. I ended up having an average cup of tea and a stale scone and walked out. Couldn’t be bothered with his mean and inhospitable attitude.
He can keep his teapots and his museum.
The rest of the time in Leura I had tea across the street. Better quality, better view and certainly better service.
I reiterate, the owner is mean. And angry.
I absolutely love this place! It has so much character with the thousands of teapots all around the tea rooms. Jason is amazing and makes the experience even better! The Devonshire tea is amazing I get it every time. The tea is also gorgeous and comes in a cute little teapot. I’ve been here twice and will definitely be coming back!
Really unique place! Fantastic collection of teapots and and teaware. Food and teas were delicious, freshly made with a wide selection to choose from. I stopped here for lunch on a tour, and really wish I had more time to spend here.
Beautiful teapots, cup, mug and tins from around the world. You can have tea with nice desserts. You will see the old style of tea sets and also many teacups. If you like to see old styles of cups, mug and others, I do recommend to visit this place.
