Brumby Motors - Car service in Sydney

Some muppet there just hangs up on me when he realizes he won't get easy business. Probably standard for Artarmon mechanics as a whole though i'd suspect.

Trustable and reliable service. Come for jazz and coffee while you are waiting for your car being serviced.

If someone would ask me 6months ago, I would probably say that this is the best service in NSW, but. The team has changed.
I serviced my two cars in Brumby Motors - always trusted the guys that worked there. About two months ago I went there again to do the pink slip (I bought another car a week before).
After I arrived, I realized that I don't know anyone there, shame, but that was not the worse.
After short conversation and really short look of my car (without lifting etc) one of the guys said that my rare brakes are completely gone and I need a new set, maybe at the front too. He said that I should drop off the car next day for the repair.
Well.that car had annual service 14 days before, but the guy didn't know that. Everything was fine with the brakes.
Since then, I went to two different mechanics - each of them said that the brakes are fine and have heaps of time before replacing.
For me, the most important thing in car service is trust to the person - I don't trust new employees in Brumpy Motors.

Friendly staff that were honest. Good Communication and were able to fix my issue in a timely manner after 2 other mechanics were unable to. Would definitely recommend.

My dealership mechanic simply said I needed a part replacement at $1.5k and gave me a photo of the part as a proof (lol). I said no thanks and took my car to the guys at Brumby who did thorough checking and testing and showed me evidence concluding that the part was performing Ok and didn't need replacement. Thanks guys!

I've taken 2 of my cars and 1 van for air conditioning service. My Ford Focus and Porsche 944 had a regas and the Mercedes Sprinter van had issues with air con compressor not engaging when switched on (intermittent ~15 minute delay so not easy to diagnose). Happy with service and I feel they are trustworthy however 4 stars only due to the van air con still not working correctly and in fact is exactly the same as when I brought it in. Would still recommend since they are way better that the vast majority of service shops out there.

David and Erik are the best mechanics! I done repairs my BMW over there. The place clean beyond belief, diagnostics where quick and spot on.

Their charges is average like other mechanic, and lower than dealership workshop. The important thing is that they can be Trusted and provide good services.

Eric and David have been servicing my wife’s BMW for a few years now and they always do a great job. We’ve had issues with the sun roof previously and they’ve always been more than willing to help us out. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Been doing safety checks with these guys for few years now. Always quick and easy process. Friendly personnel, which adapted pretty well to covid restrictions - no need to step outside of the car.

I was asking colleagues at work for mechanic recommendations for pink slips and general car servicing and one of them said take it to Brumby Motors and speak to Eric. So I took my car in and spoke to Eric, the process was fast, efficient, and trouble free. I plan to take my car here moving forward.
