Beautiful retreat with incredible food, serene surroundings, relaxing guided meditation classes and multiple daily yoga. I found it an incredibly relaxing place to get away and find some quiet.

I visited for 2 nights mid week and stayed The Lodge. I was in a single bed room. It was small, but cosy and all that I needed. A bit noisy as it's an older (gorgeous) house, creaky floors etc. To be expected and it was soothing as I was on my own. Nice to hear other people in the lodge. The yoga and wellness services were amazing. I loved it all. I have zero complaints. The food was also delicious. Will be back.

A very disappointing experience. I went because my friend ended up with a credit after she'd previously arranged to visit with a friend, however sadly that friend passed away. So Billabong Retreat's answer to this was to tell my friend that couldn't book ahead with her credit, that she just had to "try her luck" and ring up each week to see if there was a room available at the last minute. We both run our own businesses so this made it extremely difficult to plan. I am gob smacked at this lack of compassion, particularly for a place like this retreat that boasts all sorts of wellbeing benefits in their business model.

So when a room was available, rather than put my friend (and myself) in the larger and nicer private room that she'd previously booked and paid for, they put us in a small shared room with 2 small single beds (inside a small cottage with 4 bedrooms (2 beds in each room), and all sharing the one small bathroom.

The reiki and facial I had were wonderful and the wellbeing centre where these are held is lovely, calm and peaceful. I also enjoyed the food and the variety, even though I don't agree with the food philosophies of only eating vegetarian, vegan meals etc.

I would not return unfortunately.

Highly recommend. Absolutely loved Billabong Retreat. Only a short distance from Sydney but its is so tranquil and stunning. The double room really nice (the bath tub on balcony which was divine!), the food was fresh, plentiful and nourishing and the staff were great. If you need a healthy break look no further!

What a spectacular retreat! I did the Deep Yoga retreat with Larissa. Highly recommended! The location immersed in nature, my deluxe queen cabin, the staff and the food were all perfect. Thank you!

I had an incredible time at Billabong retreat. My partner and I went for a day retreat. The space was so calming, and welcoming. Big props to the chefs because the food was amazing, vibrant, filling! If you check it out I highly recommend the one on one meditation and the reiki healing. I left floating!

I have just done the Yoga Essentials programme and it was amazing. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is casual and relaxed, the twice daily yoga sessions were well taught and the staff are friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it and am planning to come back again.

Great place! Very comfortable rooms with beautiful outlook. Great common areas and super tasty food. The retreat program was relaxed and allowed us to easily choose what to be involved in, and to take time out to enjoy the tranquil property too.
It’s not cheap, but where else can you drive to so close to Sydney for a proper retreat.

From the moment I connected with Billabong Retreat, I knew it was going to be special. Larissa answered my initial call and I was at a low point, looking for something that would help. She was amazing and so understanding. I booked right there & then. The retreat was amazing - great workshops led by the lovely and knowledgeable Basia, fab food, cooked by the uber passionate Simon, the most inspirational chef I have ever met, to the very comfy rooms and facilities. There were great places to chill out and be alone if that's what you wanted or opportunities to connect with other people. I was just sad that it ended so soon, I would have stayed another 2 to 3 days! I have already booked in for my next retreat! Thanks Billabong. I had a great time and have learnt some great skills!

Expensive and underwhelming. Massage was freezing cold room, therapist was tired/disinterested and reduced massage time by 10 mins. Got snappy when I requested a slightly firmer touch. Did not offer assistance to get up from the table at the end of the end. Had our lunch rescheduled to 2nd lunch yet when we arrived food was sitting there in bowls left out looking picked over and sad from 1st lunch sitting.

Lady began clearing up dishes before we’d finished (1/2hr after we’d sat down) without checking in to see if we’d finished. She did agree to leave it but we felt rushed as she was cluttering around.cleaning tables right next to us. Toilet paper in one of the 2 shared toilets was empty the entire time. No-one checked or cared.
All in all for the price we paid attention to detail was sadly lacking and the most efficient we saw the staff was taking our money at the beginning.

Won’t be returning.

Calm. Peaceful. Grounding. Pure indulgence from the moment I arrived until I floated out three days later. I stayed two nights in a delux treehouse cabin with a private balcony bath which I made a priority to use and was not disappointed. A little piece of heaven, a stone's throw from Dural yet you feel a million miles away. Even the birds on the property have a gentle calming song. You can do as little or as much as you want while a guest here, you really can design your own retreat. I booked in a couple of treatments in their Wellness Centre which were both incredible. A highlight was the abundance and quality of organic local produce on offer for our meals, cooked by a very passionate and talented chef Simon. Best of all was the quality of the sleep. It was a complete reset I felt in those few days. They've created something truly special here.

I was very lucky to escape to Billabong Retreat. Overlooking a billabong, this all-inclusive wellness eco-resort is 5.4 km from Sheyville and 8 km from Scheyville National Park.

What I liked most was meeting great likeminded people. First off if you are heading to a yoga retreat chances are you already into being a pleasant person. So unlike a Sydney dinner party it does not take to long to get past the "what do you do" conversations and into real enjoyable funny conversations.

Then there is the daily yoga. Ah yes I forgot I had those muscles. Its great to remind oneself! And the food. Beautiful healthy food. And good food is always the starter to great conversation. The best bit- no flights. Just a 45 minute Train journey away. So no flights to drain away the yoga love.
