I had a wonderful stay at Billabong. From the moment I arrived, I felt a sense of calm. The staff are so warm and friendly - yet discreet, the food is phenomenal and the setting so peaceful. I stayed in a tree bungalow with a bath on the balcony, making my experience extra special. The deck with the pot belly fire provided a beautiful atmosphere in the communal area (day and night) and I enjoyed the company of like minded people also visiting Billabong. I spent a peaceful few hours on the deck overlooking the billabong reading, snuggled under a blanket while listening to the gentle live music. I attended the self care essentials workshop - a great reminder of the importance of self care, and some new ideas. The yoga and meditation was just the right pace and I enjoyed the stunning yoga studio as well as the yoga deck over the billabong. I had a hot stone massage and would recommend indulging in at least one treatment during your stay. I have come away from Billabong feeling re-set and relaxed. Thank you for a wonderful, nurturing and re-energizing stay - I hope to come back again soon.

Thank you all I have left nourished inside and out and fully rejuvenated. The food was exceptional and the programme's insightful. Our hosts were wonderful. The yoga and meditation blissful. Must give a special shout out to Chantelle facilitating my final yoga practice at the retreat, a great way to finish what has been a much needed and wonderful experience.

I have been visiting the Billabong retreat for many years now. And I have visited the retreat for about 20 times, staying short and long stays and including day retreats as well.
The Billabong Retreat is a sacred space. The energy of nature and the actual Billabong is something you will need to experience to feel how special and sacred this place is.

Special thanks to all of these amazing people who make it so enjoyable and make me feel so warm and welcomed every time I am here. I feel like I have come home to myself at the Billabong Retreat.

Loved it! Thank you for a wonderful and soul soothing experience! Amazing ambience, energising yoga, and really relaxing guided meditation with Nerida. The staff were lovely, food was delicious and I think I can speak on behalf of the other guests in saying it was a really awesome time. Highly recommend if you’re needing a peaceful getaway!

Gorgeous eco-retreat in an accessible location. Had an overwhelmingly positive experience. Staff were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, food was delicious and plentiful, yoga and meditation classes very rejuvenating and options for all levels/preferences. Content of the self-care workshops was wonderful but they are more like lectures than workshops; I would have preferred a more interactive format. Loved the infrared sauna and the neuro-emotional technique session. Only not so positive experience was the accommodation. I was in one of the cottage rooms (cheapest option available). The room was very sparse, just 2 single beds with a few hooks on the wall. No floor covering, no dresser, no mirror. And although a small heater was provided the room was absolutely freezing on arrival and did not warm up until the next day. I felt like I was winter camping the first night, wore multiple layers plus a wool hat and the bedding was good quality but my neck and shoulders seized up - not very relaxing! I did not have a restful sleep both nights I was there. The shared bathroom in the cottage is tiny, also absolutely freezing cold, no heater, no floor mat so floor was wet, and the shower head is too low to wash your hair. At $300/night, I did not feel the accommodations offered value for money (even though this included meals and the program). I did not expect luxury and am fine with simple but I think it's important to make sure guests are comfortable and able to sleep and relax - which was the whole point! Hopefully the owners can improve these factors for winter stays!

Wonderful retreat, from the rooms to the food to the yoga classes, all in a beautiful, peaceful location. Be aware though that there is no tv, no wifi, no alcohol and limited phone reception

World Class! Exceeded beyond my expectations. The Deluxe Cabin was exceptional. The food was so tasty and healthy, and we were never hungry. Everything was organic. Yoga and meditation classes were a great learning experience. The communal areas had cosy chairs and throw rugs and just listening to the sounds of the birds and the trees was very relaxing. We met so many lovely people. The wellness centre was amazing and the facial and massage services were again exceptional. We can't fault this retreat at all with the beautiful scenery and surroundings. The thorough cleanliness and the kindness of all the staff. World Class!

This was my third time at Billabong
My first time was a few years ago when I'd just come out of a 28 year marriage, I needed some guidance for my future, I attended Paul's mindfulness workshop, (these three days literally changed my life)
I took the tools I learned & over time became the person I am today…. Calm, relaxed, content & HAPPY
Thank you Paul and all the staff for another amazing 4 days x

Amazing stay, I really loved being there for 3 days. The food was delicious, the yoga and meditation workshop was very informative and I took away so many great practices. The teacher, Sarah was incredible. She made you feel welcome, relaxed, calm and she was funny and authentic. All the staff were super friendly and the accommodation was beautiful
Will be back!

Overall we had a great stay. Room (deluxe Queen cabin) was nice with indoor and outdoor bath on the balcony. Relaxing wood cabin, cosy. Perhaps not as private as first thought. Slept well.
Food was great, vege food mostly vegan, plenty to go around and variety was excellent.
Facilities were clean and relaxing, yoga hall with great lookout.
Yoga and classes were not the best on our stay (midweek). A little on the basic side and lacking structure. Also a change of teacher halfway didn't help.
Overall I'd recommend, a relaxing and fun few days. Thank you

I loved my recent stay at Billabong Retreat. My accommodation was lovely and clean, provided everything I needed and was very comfortable. The meals were all tasty and healthful, served cheerfully by the gorgeous kitchen team. The highlights for me were the beautiful nature setting and the stress relief and self care programs. Anika and Nerida were wonderful retreat hosts. As someone very new to yoga and meditation, this was a lovely introduction which was not the least bit intimidating. I also met some really great people. I would highly recommend Billabong Retreat for anyone needing a relaxing break and some excellent tips on keeping the stress at bay.

The king room is nice and overlooks a beautiful swamp (billabong). The bath on the balcony is great but there is a street right in front where people can see you, also you can see your neighbour through the wood side panels on your balcony to theirs. So no real privacy.

In lodge 16 you can see the main dinning area so not much privacy there.

The lodge is about a 10 minute walk to the main area. Walk is on a road but unsafe as it has cars coming each way and it is a one lane road.

They were doing work on property without notice prior to arrival, so worth checking.

They had stated one hour, and in morning only but it went for over 6
Hours day and morning. So if you only have the weekend there this is a big chunk.

Food last time was good this time there only
Good 50% time. In fact so bad on second night dinner that myself and who I was with needed to go out to find alternate food. Not ideal.

$2000 for king for the 48hrs is too much not right value. The room is beautiful but the place is unorganised. People did not have yoga mats, no fresh drink water on the side of the billabong where 8-10 villas are.

No real covid safe measures as food serves not wearing gloves

45 people scheduled to be in one large yoga room (where safe area spacing would be 1-25 roughly).

Blankets over all lounge furniture and not changed during parts Of the days which meant they were dirty From people prior.

There was soup but when we had dinner which was 630 on the dot and we arrived at 630 there where no spoons left.

This place has really gone down hill.

Stayed in October. Lovely setting and room and easy to get to from Sydney but really overpriced for what you get. The food was disappointing - small servings and just lots of veges - most of us needed some form of protein or rice/bread etc just to feel a bit more full. My treatments were also disappointing - I had the Iridology reading but they had overbooked the rooms so had to have my session in the public dining area - which wasn’t idea when your talking about your personal history and there was issues with set up/internet. My massage wasn’t great - I felt like it was the masseuses first massage and she kept complaining how hot she was. I think having wifi free zones is great but not getting access to any wifi is quite difficult especially when you have children at home as you are v aware that no one can get in contact with you if something happens.

Worth it every penny. The cabins are really nice but I preferred to stay at the lodge and get the extra treatments. I made the right decision, because the massage, facial, sauna, and reiki sessions were just wonderful. There are 3 yoga sessions each day. Very calm and beautiful landscape. The tea, the book, the mandala, and the chiminea made my afternoons lovely. I can't start with the food, since it was just amazing. I'm not vegetarian nor vegan and find every breakfast, lunch and dinner different, delicious and innovative. I thank all the staff and my new yoga friends for this incredible experience.

Would have given 5 starts but the only downfall is the room walls are paper thin and could hear next door very loudly.

Beautiful, serene, unpretentious retreat. You can truly sense the respect for nature in the way this place was designed and built. The meals were very delicious, Larissa's yoga and meditation classes were fantastic and Kerilyn's massage was simply divine. Loved my stay there and 2 nights was just not long enough. Big thank you to Paul and team for a wonderful experience.

My mother and I were gifted a 3 day stay at this retreat from Dad - and it was downright amazing! You get multiple yoga and meditation sessions each day, and the instructor Sarah - I think she’s one of the best yoga teachers I’ve ever come across in Sydney!

You can really feel her passion from the way she speaks about the body and yoga, and also she explains each posture so well! She knows the body so well that even if you’re unfamiliar with the poses, you can guide yourself into the pose just from listening to her verbal instructions!

Also I would like to leave a thank you for the chef who was in charge of our food - it was AMAZING! I was too shy to say it in person, but I could see and taste his passion for cooking, I never knew vegetarian meals could taste this amazing I looked forward to the meals each day, it was absolutely DELICIOUS!

For anyone who enjoys yoga, want a nice break to really focus on healing and your mental well-being, I highly recommend this retreat! Highly!
