Big Merino reviews
43Gift shop and other cafe restaurant nearby. Very good stopping by point for food and fuel also for experiencing this much larger than real sized merino.
Sweetest ladies work here, bought couple of skins to take back to Murcia, we'll see how custom like that! Lol or I get a cavity search cause of them.
UPDATE: No issues with the skins, even emailed custom before and they ok'ed retail stuff.
It's big, it's iconic, it makes a great photo but there isn't anything to see inside and the gift shop felt past its prime.
Loved the shop and i loved climbing the large sheep. I could look down on all the cars through the eyes.
Good for a quick visit the kids love it. You can also go inside it all the way to the top and look through the Marino's eyes
Loved the merino, from outside n inside. Ground level wool shop n can see the surroundings from the eyes of merino ;)
Love this place, when your in golburn you can come here if you have been travelling and use the showers that are available in Oliver's. Please respect and clean after you finished showering so everyone can enjoy this benefit.
Ample parking. Cafes close by.
Another tick of the BIG list, the Big Merino (Goulburn NSW)
This thing is amazing to look at and very detailed, it also doubles as a gift shop and history of wool museum inside as well.
You can even climb up a stair case on the inside to see out it’s eyes WHAAAAAT!
Don’t miss this one if your are ever passing through the area, it is only just off the side of the highway

Not sure why exactly theres a massive sheep here, but it looks pretty nifty. Theres also plenty to do in the town of Goulburn and they have some pretty neat clocks there as well
Ok so its a bloody been sheep complete with the trimmings of a ram at the back. (They have been known to paint them blue)
There's a merino wool shop inside it.
It's a great little photo opportunity, but please take care doing that.
Don't know why we have such an affinity with big stuff. That said, it's worth the detour if you're on your way to Canberra from Sydney or vice versa.
Its a big merino! All there is to desire in life, you sit there or stand under its fatty rolls and get some wonderful family photos! If only Goulburn was a place worth visiting haha.
Well done and interesting place to see, the shop is too expensive if they expect ppl to buy some souvenirs they must put the prices down it's over priced.
An iconic attraction and worth the visit. Surprisingly and no idea why but the arse end is photographed more than the front.
The big merino was utterly vile.the beast itself was dirty and smelt like a mouldy worm and i was mugged there for the $17.60 in my pocket.big disappointment would give 0 stars if i could.
A great stop when travelling between Sydney and Canberra and such.
There is a souvenir shop - quite pricey though.
You can climb up the structure and see through the eyes. No you cannot stick your hand or head out as there is plastic filling the space.
There is history to read but you can tell some of it has been removed. Make sure to look at it’s butt, you’ll see a big pair of balls too. Photo worthy
Yeah Australia!
Lost a star because it really needs to be cleaned from all the piss stains
It’s big and it’s a merino! What more can you say?
When in Goulburn this iconic stop has to be on the to do list. Grab a selfie in front of (or a daggy snap from behind) the giant sheep, grab some overpriced trinkets from the souvenir store or go upstairs for a sheep’s eye view of other Australian icons (Bunnings from the left eye & Red Rooster from the right).
Something nice to see on the way to Canberra, like a good break. It's just cute and beautifully done structure.
Nice place with a gift shop. Plenty of takeaway food shops nearby, along with a cafe and a service station. Good place to stop by in Goulburn.
One of the must-sees whilst in Goulburn. Conveniently located near service station/food outlets, there’s plenty of parking options and places to snap some great pics of this unusual sight.
It’s funny to imagine who came up with it.but if you’re in town (or on the way to Canberra/Snow), then it won’t take much effort to stop by.
