Belvoir St Theatre reviews
65Favorite theatre in Sydney for their well curated and brilliant produced, thought provoking plays. A must visit for locals and visitors alike!
Too hot! Some noise from another room interrupted the acting!
Very difficult back access!
Good play. Good acting.
Super disappointing. Bought tickets on the day of performance and due to extenuating circumstances we werent able to make it. Thought there may have been some goodwill gesture / exchange possible but no.
"Things I know to be true". Theatre at its absolute best. Every aspect I will remember for a long time.
Great theatre with cool decoration! Love the atmosphere! We watched the “Things I know to be true” here today. It was the first play we watched in Sydney. Absolutely wonderful and related story. The performance was amazing. Highly recommended!
Went to see Jess & Jo. What a nice and cool place. Really intimist, loved the teatre downstairs!
Love this theatre, good quality shows (I've seen Calamity Jane and the Wolves) and great wine list. It's a lovely spot to hang out beforehand and during intermission, they even have Negroni!
Great local theatre with excellent choice of plays. Comfortable and great seating to view all areas of the stage. You can even sit with a glass of wine.
Dusty smelling theatre with uncomfortable seats, could use a renewal really. At least visibility is good from most seats. Food is a bit poor for the price and tehy're using way too much packaging.
What a cool we theatre. We saw The Wolves here. It was my first time to the place and I liked the set up - it's an informal venue and wherever you sit you'll likely have a good view of the stage. The bar is good and the food looks quite good - though I didn't have time to have any of the snacks myself.
Lovely veiw of government housing across road just make sure your car's locked and your gold chains tucked in.
Lovely atmosphere, has a bar and comfortable seats. Easy walk from central and performances are well priced.
The play and cast were outstanding. Left the three of us all thinking about the contents and a good and necessary reminder of the atrocities inflicted on the Jews by the Germans during the Second World War.
Think they could improve on the quality of eats and wines before the show. Fair quality only.
Great little hidden theatre gem located in the heart of Sydney. Staff were courteous and pleasant to deal with
The small stage leads to innovative set designs and direction. This theatre has a long and renowned history and some of the Australia's best actors and directors in Sydney have collaborated on plays at Belvoir. The productions include a mix of fresh takes on old classics and rhe introduction of new plays.
Excellent theatre with a mix of progressive works, always entertaining.
Parking can be tricky especially with light rail works in the vicinity.
Always something interesting on stage so worth a punt. Some productions sell out quickly but you will get a good view from just about any seat in the theatre. Bar usually very busy.
My favourite theatre in Sydney, I’ve never been disappointed. Saw Jasper Jones here ages ago and it blew mind, one of my favourite performances ever!
I love this place. It’s intimate, especially the downstairs venue, and the plays are often exceptional.
