You can take the martial artist out of the dojo but you can’t take the dojo spirit out of the martial artist. Australian Martial Arts Academy has proven that lockdown is no barrier to maintaining an active, healthy and fun training routine. Offering quality, engaging and interactive sessions for all ages and abilities, led by passionate and inspiring instructors, their online classes are always the highlight of my day. I am constantly being challenged, uplifted and motivated to reach my full potential. Whether it’s advanced kicking combos, gymnastics, poomsae, or weapon skills, the daily experience is always positive and valuable. I cannot thank AMA enough for their commitment, encouragement and optimism during this pandemic. It is a privilege to be taught by the world’s most talented instructors and be part of a supportive and effervescent community. AMA is one in a million!

No matter your current health or experience, AMAA is an open, friendly, and inclusive place to learn martial arts. It's been wonderful to find such a great place that still challenges you to do the best you can do. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to try something new.

My Kids always looking forward for their session, and enjoy being with the team, it is sad that this time we are affected by the pandemic. Very friendly and professional trainer and my kids definitely love AMA.

I am so thankful to AMA's amazing teachers not only for their skill in teaching children Taekwondo in an engaging way, but for the way they've brought out confidence & motivation (and just the right amount of ambition) in my now teen son. Not to mention the concept of goal setting!
It took him a while to warm to it after starting quite young, but the more he went & listened to these motivational teaches the more his passion grew. He loves the dynamic nature Taekwondo, which is great form of physical exercise that's also really useful (for self-defence).
The messages the teaches include about respect for your self, teachers and parents has also benefited to school and home. Cannot praise the AMA team highly enough: D Nic (Mr 13's mum)

Great staff and facilities make this ideal for Adults and families alike. Training is motivational, challenging and the messaging and values they promote to younger members is second to none.

This school created early 80s is a sure school to go to. The experience developed along the years makes this school fun, knowledgeable, respected and diverse, and all ages.
The timetable is pretty amazing (7 days a week), and with their 4 locations, you can't have any excuse like "I don't have time". Everything is there to learn and have fun while developing mental and body health. All staff and instructors are very knowledgeable, thoughtful and amazing/impressive, they listened and always are happy to help.

AMA is run by a wonderful team of instructors whom are always willing to listen, guide and be as helpful as they possibly can while maintaining both a sense of discipline and fun while your kids are learning.

They run their children classes with a theme which changes from week to week. Be it protecting yourself, not being afraid to say no, being a good influence on others, good civic values or just about any other theme you can think of which can help your child at home, in school or just in day to day life.

They have also figured out a number of effective and safe ways to keep the ball rolling quite well given the recent changes of the world and how they impact on classes such as these.

Our kids (12,10 & 5) have all been here since they were 3. AMA has been integral in building them up to be the independent, courageous, confident and strong young people they are. The curriculum covers a holistic life view that goes far beyond just moving through a belt program. I would recommend to any parent.

I am so happy i have found AMA. I can not rave enough about the positive effect this group of ppl have had on our family and also the community. They are caring, compassionate and remarkable role models for kids to aspire to. Im am impressed how they take care of their students' minds, bodies, and souls. Thanks AMA

My son absolutely loves his martial arts classes and looks forward to it every weekend. The trainers are so child friendly and know how to encourage kids to learn and be confident with their skills! Lucky to be located near our place and will definitely keep going as kid always has takeaway lessons that are practical and useful!

I enrolled my 4 year old daughter to boost her confidence as she can suffer from social anxiety and can be extremely shy.

I have previously done martial arts for a number of years and have not experienced a school that is as patient with the kids, than this school.

They allowed me to stay in the kids room and participate in the class with her (usually parents aren't allowed into the Mini Dragons class), until she was ready to attend class alone (it took about 2 months!).

I have seen my daughter develop into an outgoing little girl who is an active participant in the class. I love the teachers at this school and think they put a lot of effort and care into their classes. Most importantly, they have the patience to deal with kids who struggle or take longer to settle in than others.

The school also teaches and encourages kids to be good people with a good moral compass. They teach the kids about holistic approaches to overall good wellbeing (eating good food, being active (ie.faces not stuck to a screen) and being contributors in their household (helping by cleaning or setting up the table before a meal etc).

I highly recommend this school and the teachers. I've never had any issues and they are completely approachable if you have any questions etc.

Great academy. Everyone is treated equally with the same respect no matter how young or old you are. My child loves attending and looks forward to her sessions every week. The teachers are wonderful and patient and take time to show moves. Recommend this place.
