Have had excellent care and advice here from multiple doctors, and have great service both with scheduled appointments and as a walk in. All staff have been helpful and friendly and the opening hours are very useful!

My family have been waiting over two hours to see a doctor this evening, with zero empathy from the receptionist. A cold and rude person should not be running the front desk of a medical centre.

Pretty horrible place with lazy doctors. But then on a Sunday evening you're not left with the cream of the crop. Avoid if possible, and if you don't have a choice just be prepared for a pretty horrible experience.

I wish I couldn't even give this centre 1 star. Absolutely DISGUSTED with the service I received with my ill 1 year old on Saturday night with Dr Ashraf Gamal. With a temp of 40.3 that would only go down the 39.3 with panadol, slept all day and was extremely clingy (not him at all) I took him here. The doctor looked him over and said 'viral. If it's not covid then it's the flu but there's no flu at the moment so covid' we had already done two rapids and a pcr to know for sure it wasn't covid. My boy was still extremely lethargic and having high temps I took him to our usual doctor to be told my poor baby has a DOUBLE ear infection WITH 1 perforated eardrum. How this could go unnoticed from this doctor is beyond me, something like a double ear infection and perforated eardrum doesn't just happen within 36 hours. I am disgusted that he could just palm this off as 'covid' even after being told 4 times we had done 2 RAT'S and a PCR. Not to mention my 4 year old also had very similar symptoms to which he had the same response, my 4 year old has a completely blocked ear canal. Seriously? Please, do NOT go here.

Dr Carlos is by far the most thorough, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor I have ever met. Every consultation he proves time and time again that he genuinely cares about you and your health; unlike so many doctors I have encountered. I truly could not recommend him more highly!

He is the only doctor I have ever trusted wholeheartedly, the only doctor that has made my health and well-being his top priority and lastly the only doctor who’s work ethic is to the utmost standard of professionalism. I saw Dr Carlos once a week for over a year and he drastically changed my life. He gave me hope that my situation would get better and constantly strived to achieve the best results he could in regards to improving my health - which he successfully did. What happened to him is UNJUST and unacceptable. He is without a doubt the best doctor I have ever met and I will work tirelessly to advocate for him.

Great service from the reception. I was on the waiting list for a booster shot and received a text message to say what date and time my appointment would be, however with my life being a bit hectic it completely slipped my mind. The receptionist called and was very understanding. I went in and got my booster shot and again the receptionist was so kind. I also over heard her calling many people who missed their appointment. I can only imagine how frustrating that would have been yet she remained kind and professional.

The doctor I saw was very kind and helpful although I know it is dependant on which doctor you get as some can be a bit dismissive.

Dr. Maria Johns the new dr is outstanding! Thorough, knowledgeable, patient centered, bedside demeanour of a psychologist. Will keep you accountable as drs should, however, in a way that is not condescending. A dr who you want to see.

Dr. Sarah Wright & Dr. Ahmed El akkabawy + 2 others are also thorough, truly caring and safe practioners.

Janette is a great receptionist, personable.

It is true that the waits in this practice may be long 1-1.5hr sometimes, however, for a bulk billed service I think we should manage our expectations:) health professionals are also humans.

I visited on Sunday afternoon and saw a new young female doctor. She was very professional with thorough history taking and made me feel very comfortable. The wait was quite short, and the clinic was very safe in its covid policies (having patients wait in their cars until the doctor was ready).

The female receptionist, older woman, my dining room table has more personality and support. When I asked could I please see a female doctor, she asked was I a regular patient, I said no I was not, she then said; well we are not taking anyone new. I told her I was advised by the Hospital to see a GP within 12 hours and receptionist said no, can't do that, we aren't taking anyone new. I said, you don't even know why I need to see a Doctor. Dead silence and again repeated, we aren't taking anyone new. Because I had not been to a Doctor for years I thought of Kirrawee as back in the 1980s and 1990s they were lovely.not anymore! Horrible horrible person when you are in pain. I called Caringbah, kind, helpful on phone, arrived and staff were incredible, nurse made sure I was ok, Doctor was amazing. I would never unless I was literally dying, go to Kirrawee ever again. Disgusted. I wonder about the very elderly, imagine this monster telling someone old and sick, no, can't do that, we aren't taking anyone new. No conversation, don't care what is wrong, just go away. AVOID. Go to Caringbah instead, be treated like a human being.

This is the first time I have ever posted a review on anything but I am dumbfounded at the world we live in. My 5 yr old daughter just got turned way cause she had a little cough. The lady at the counter said the doctor won’t see her if she has a cough. Won’t see a 5 yr old who is sick. I was under the impression that is a doctors job. Surely the Australian health system is better then this. The lady at the counter is just doing her job - I’m not blaming her. I don’t usually write reviews but when it comes to kids - all bets are off. It won’t let me post with no stars, so I had to give it 1.

Worst customer service ever! Receptionists have got to be some of the rudest people I have ever come across

Zero. Used to be OK, never good. But now it is zero. The receptionists thinks is a God as treats everyone like rubbish. Not just me, so her talking to other patients - a disgrace. They sent me home, cause I had a sore throat, and this is why I came to this centre. They said would call me - never happened.

Unprofessional, dismissive and uncaring.
The doctor completely dismissed my wife’s physical symptoms, leaving her in pain and rejected.
He did not examine her in any way, and prescribed an inappropriate medicine for a condition he didn’t even think she had.

Reception has gotten alot better recently.
Doctors less so. Dr Ryan Shannan literally stood in his doorway and chatted to a friend for a full 15 mins, right in front of me, while I waited. I assumed he'd finished his shift and was on his own time. But no, after he finally wound up his chat he called me in. Unbelievable! I dared to say something so he refused to see me. Doesn't much like working, this one. Though reading other reviews of him I might have dodged a bullet. A couple of the others not much better.

I had a great experience at Australian Health Care Centre. I made an appointment online which was very easy. Dr Sarah Wright was running on time, was so lovely & helpful. One of the best experiences I have had at the doctor!

2021 Review:
With an injured child I reluctantly went back to this practice. The female Dr we got was lovely. While it wasn't a complex problem so I can't really attest to how knowledge she seemed very professional.
Maybe the practice has improved over the last 8 years.

2013 Review:
My opinion is that they are the most rubbish Dr's ever.

If you're looking for a Dr's certificate for work then they're fine.

If you're sick but know what you need, like a refill of a regular prescription, then they're acceptable. Note though that I was refused a prescription once because the Dr did not feel comfortable with my choice of medication for their own personal reasons.

But if you're actually sick, and you don't know what's wrong, then I recommend waiting and going to another Dr. I've been misdiagnosed 3 times there, and every time I've had to end up at another Dr anyway. I've spent money on prescriptions I didn't need and I've suffered at home with symptoms that could have been prevented.

They might have attractive operating hours, but I'd rather suffer at home until my regular Dr opens, or even wait for hours at emergency, rather than go to this centre again.

Waiting in an empty medical centre for 1 hour and every person walks in goes before you because they put their names down from the morning. Doctor (female) stay in her room in the computer don't call any patients. Very bad attitude from staff when you complain.

The best medical practice I've been to. The receptionist is helpful and Dr. Tran is very attentive to patients.
