Food is good!
Vibe is good.
It looks like there is a live band every Sunday.
But they don't allow us to change the seats (in the begining) we like even if there is empty.

It was dated, not a lot of atmosphere.
Staff were asking all ok, quite often.
Food was over priced and small
Chips were too salty! Not good for B/P.
Was over Charged, they gave us someone else's bill.

I haven't eaten much fish and chips, but they were some of the best I've ever had.

Funky little burger place/bar with strong retro vibes. Grab a booth, a burger and a beer.or a mulled wine, it was delish!

The atmosphere and decor is nice and welcoming but unfortunately the $15 cheesecake i ordered was very underwhelming, i’ve had better from supermarkets.
The espresso martini was just okay.
Probably wouldn’t return.

Excellent service, very tentative and considerate. I was looking for a mobile phone charger, the assistant was so helpful and checked for me from kitchen.

It was ok, but the burger was a bit salty, and the serve of fries was smaller for the adult burger than for the kids burger meal.

I had an anniversary dinner here and it was beautiful! I ordered the Falafel Bowl and it was delicious with a generous servings and beautiful fresh ingredients. The service was wonderful and both the waitstaff were lovely and delivered timely and polite service which only made our experience better. It’s a very sweet location with a rustic vintage vibe that I enjoyed. Would love to come back again!

Slow with the service. BUT the food was delicious. My husband and I had the slow cooked brisket, wow. It was worth waiting for, it just melted in your mouth. The flavours yummy

The staff were kind.
The vegan burger for $26 was dry and bland. For what we spent, it was next to inedible.

Great retro diner in Katoomba. We stopped in for dessert after having dinner elsewhere. There were some excellent options. We had the apple crumble and ice-cream, whilst the kids had a banana split and a milk shake. We didn't have a booking and they fit us in with a short wait. Service was great.

We sat in the second booth from the left - and there was a pretty bad smell. At first I noticed it, and then my 4 year old son noticed it too.

My sons nuggets were brought out to our table totally burnt - and we sent them back. They happily replaced them - but I’m just surprised that they tried to send them out to us when they were so black in the first place. Surely this was noticed when plating them up?

When I ate here this week I was seated along a bar where no server attended to me. I watched as a server walked up toward me only to turn at the last second and face the other table behind. After 10 minutes of this I asked someone if I had missed my server assignment to which he responded “no but I’ll take your order”. Afterwards, still no server would check on me, except to look away if I made eye contact. I had to fetch my own place setting and napkin. By the end of the meal I was one of three tables in the whole restaurant and by now I figured I might have a server assigned to me, yet instead they were socializing and using their phones behind the front desk.

As for the food, the brisket burger was completely underwhelming. I imagined something like American BBQ but this brisket tasted like nothing and was smothered in a gravy sauce. Just not appetizing. The fries were poorly done as well and too salty.

There’s also a 10% fine for coming on a weekend.

This place is popular and I know why - good food, good drink, good music, lovely staff and a wonderful ambience.

I also tried a cocktail called a Blue Mountains Mist which was superb.

Things to note:
1. If you are tubby like me, then the booths are a tight squeeze.
2. If you order a soft drink, make sure you say how much ice you want. My glass was filled with ice to the very top which I don't like.

We've been back here a few times now and they are always consistently good, welcoming and friendly.

The wings with blue cheese sauce and milkshakes are standouts. Burgers and fries are also good. Actually, the wings are like crack, totally addictive, I could eat them every day.

Aunty Ed's also has funky, retro decor, which is good for a giggle and entertaining while you wait for your food.

Wonderful atmosphere and service that is greatly let down by the quality and price of the food.

Ordered a pulled pork burger that had an overpowering flavour of liquid smoke (presumably from the sauce that was being used?), mixed with a sickly sweetness. Did not find it worth the $26 that was being asked for it (note that this did include the Saturday surcharge, however I would argue that even the weekday rate of $22 is too much for what it is). The comments around the table regarding the food were also mixed, with many commenting on the prices e.g. $15 for a milkshake is pretty steep.

On the other hand, the staff were lovely and attentive. Seems like a nice bar to go have a couple of drinks at, but would recommend you eat somewhere else.

I came to this restaurant for lunch and honestly they have the best chips I’ve ever encountered in my life! They have the best crunch when you eat them. This restaurant and bar is also aesthetically very kitschy and unique. If you like places that are cute with a retro vibe, then this is highly recommended! They do a great mulled wine in winter too.

A spontaneous weekend day trip out of Sydney to the mountains found us concluding the day with dinner at Aunty Ed’s. While it’s not exactly wheelchair accessible at the front door, the super friendly team had a tight but workable option to get us comfortably seated inside to experience the quirky retro vibes.

Great cocktails & delicious ‘homely’ meals combined with groovy tunes gave a great atmosphere to sit back & relax into the evening.

Unfortunately we couldn’t stay for the live music this time but is just another reason to visit again!

The schnitzel was burnt on the outside and undercooked on the inside
When we told the owner about the issue (not wanting a refund or anything just giving comments on the food when asked) he told us to find somewhere else to eat and was incredibly rude.
The waitress was lovely but the owner was condescending and nasty.
