Auburn Aquarium and Terrarium

Worst customer service and really expensive. We had to pay double the amount than the price displayed in the tank. Poor packaging because my fishes were all dead when I reached home.

This place has EVERYTHING! Decided to visit after reading other reviews & I was in heaven. Large range of plants & fish, also indoor plants out the back. Massive shop, everything you need in the one spot. Staff are super friendly & helped me whilst I had my 2 year old with me, very easy visit. Wish I knew of this place sooner!

Hands down the best staff and stock in Sydney. My go to aquarium for fish and plants. I hear they are adding a reptile section. My kids will be over the moon when that happens! Top A+

Reasonable price for the fishes.
Bit expensive for the filter maintenance accessories but they are of high quality stuffs.

Always good quality stock here and even though I'm from the northern beaches the drive is worth it. The guys hooked me yesterday and pretty happy with the new Cichlid tank.

Great customer service. Very knowledgeable and didn't just walk away. She helped with all my questions and further expanded her knowledge onto me.

I joined my friend to pick up some things for his aquarium and after talking to the staff was inspired to build some terrariums. A particular staff member, Shannon, was extremely helpful. Not only did he explain everything I needed he help me fill my terrariums with the right plants and gave me some tips and pointers.

Amazing collection of marine fish! It's always an adventure seeing what new stock they have and the help and advice we have received over the many years from Shannon and Farbod is always so appreciated! Thank you.

I cold called yesterday to find out if they do fish boarding. The lovely lady who picked up the call said they don't do fish boarding and suggested i could search online to find available services. I cold called them again as I needed some advice about automatic fish feeder. A gentleman received my phone call and was lovely to answer all my queries and recommended me a good automatic feeder even though I was not a purchasing one from them. I definitely look forward to visiting this store and their customer service and knowledge about aquarium products are excellent

I've witnessed you on multiple occasions speeding around the cats and have been told you aggressively approached a local woman for feeding them accusing her of littering and threatening her when all she had done is put cat biscuits on the floor that the cats would of polished off in a minute.

Crazy how you run a pet shop but have little morals towards the helpless cats. I'm very disappointed I have supported your business in the past.

Wide variety of fish and plants but a bit more expensive than other stores. Unfortunately all the fish I got from there, died in the next day.

4.1 - Surprised at the amount of different Tanks and Fish displayed in this shop - they even have some empty tanks and a plant area! The plants are rather expensive but it was nice to have a look but I just loved looking at all the different fish. I sent some prices to a friend who has huge fish tanks. It is apparently expensive though!

This is one of the most stunning aquarium outlets I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and the customer service was perfect. We were served my a young man called Shannon who was extremely helpful. The fish are stunning and the tanks are very well maintained. Just a joy to have spent time in there today. We will definitely be back Thankyou

It is a big store with variety of fish, but I had a very unpleasant experience there. I was asking for bacteria to start up my tank and was given a wrong product even though I asked the staff member many times if it was the corrcct one. I believe she was just trying to sell their own product. Before leaving the store I asked another staff member if that is the relevant product and she said it was totally irrelevant, so I was given the right product, but instead of giving back the rest of payment, they just gave me a coupon even though I insisted on a refund. When I got back home and checked the price of the same product in other stores I realised that it was overpriced. I won't be coming back.

Very friendly staff. However, if you need an excellent customer service with a personal touch, look for "CLAIRE". For some reason my fish pond filter motor decided to stop working; this was just a week before coming back from our holidays. We arrived home worrying about our school of 5 year old Koi fish. I couldn't find any suitable pump on internet search. As the last resort, we visited Auburn Aquarium. First a friendly female staff tried to help us; she couldn't provide all the detail I wanted to know. She got hold of Claire explaining that Claire had a better knowledge about pumps.
Then came Claire with a smiling face. I explained my situation. Her fingers danced around the key board and came out with the right solution with in few minutes. Then again, I had to wait for another 5 days for the pump to arrive. She understood how desperate I was and provided few remedy measures to manage my school fish with oxygen supply. I started calling the shop from the 3rd day. I was that desperate. The pond water was murky and the Koi were all on the surface gasping for oxygen.
Every time I called, Claire's answer was, " I am desperately waiting for the pump, how are the Koi faring? " That is what I refer as personal touch in customer service. That statement wouldn't have done anything good to my Koi, but it soothed my feelings. It is good to know that somebody can understand what you are going through.
Anyway, the filter pump arrived a day late. Claire called me no sooner the pump arrived. She received us at the shop counter with her grinning face and smiling eyes. Her first question was " How are the koi doing? ". I was touched by this kind gesture.
Thanks Claire, I got a crystal clear fish pond now and our Koi are the happiest bunch. Your product knowledge and customer service are commendable. Keep up your good spirit. We wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

I popped into the store last weekend to buy some new fish and was served by this lovely young girl by the name of Claire. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the huge range of aquatic life they had on offer at the store, I was very impressed! There was a very long line of customers and the poor girl had to serve everyone by herself (unsure of where the other staff were.) but would definitely recommend anyone to check it out, their prices seemed very reasonable compared to others I've seen.

I have spent over 4k in this amazing store and want to go back and spend more. I want to point out a few points on why
1. Amazing staff always make you feel welcome
2. Will always take their time to listen to you no matter how busy they are
3. Quality fish I have bought literally over 100 fish and only ever had 1 issue that was resolved asap
4. Staff actually care about their fish and know what they are talking about
5. A big thank you to Shannon would stay on the phone with me till all my amateur questions are answered no matter how painful it was for him

There is many other reasons, do your self a favour and go to that store

Wow, such a big shop. A massive variety of fish to buy. Slightly less variety of tanks and accessories to buy, but still a fabulous store for an aquarium enthusiast.
