Ashfield Park is a spacious, leafy park. The Ashfield War Memorial, located in the park, was originally unveiled in 1921 and commemorates Australians who served and died in conflict.

Big Park with an amazing view of the city from down near Parramatta Rd section. Wonderful undercover sections and playground. It's a lot bigger than it looks from the street.

Nice park, especially for kids. How many other parks do you know of that have a statue of Mary Poppins watching over them as they play?

Great park, has a view of the city which makes it a good spot for NYE and what the fire works with the family in a picnic.had a few birthdays here, water play, holiday excursions, and playing soccer.its also great for a late afternoon walk

Park is great. I can't believe that they wanted to develop this site. It would be a travesty to lose such a beautiful green part of the inner city.

Lovely open space park, well maintained and offers a range of walking options, enclosed childrens playground, football oval, bbq / gazebo area and toilet facilities. There is a local bowling club located within the western side of the park and directly across Parramatta Rd is McDonald's on the Haberfield side.
There is generally good street parking around and only time it's gets tough to find a spot is when cultural events, fairs or festivals are being held. Also a popular spot around New Year's Eve for locals as the northern section of the park offers a good view of the city skyline including glimpses of that harbour bridge so a fair few people down around fireworks time

Big inner suburban park, plenty of different areas for different activities. Bowls club, bbq stations, covered seating, footy field, kids play equipment

I love parks. Backyards are too small. In a bigger park, you can have neighbours playing cricket or soccer or rugby etc. Developers should plan housing developments so that families with kids tend to go to the same neighbouhoods. A sense of community should be fostered by having communal parks in-between a handful of houses. Kids can play with each other that way. I was blessed to grow up that way and wish it on everyone. And I hope I will always love near parks. God bless Australia. Much better than Paris!

Nice sunny grass areas and also ample shade. Palm tress give it a great vibe. The footy oval is usually very bustling in the afternoons so you wont have much space if its a game of soccer or touch footy with mates that you're after

Very pleasing park, with loos, bbq community garden and a bowls club. Nice spot for a picnic or just a quiet read under the shade of a tree.
