Ashfield Park reviews
57Nice Park, lots of trees, very popular for walking and exercising, with open air exercise equipment, and a soccer field. Has public toilet and nice modern drinking fountain. Large kids playground, and a couple of statues, including one dedicated to the author of Mary Poppins. Some sculpture as well.
Lovely park with a nice picnic area. Easy to get to from various bus stops along the main roads and also an easy walk from Ashfield train station.
Parky. Clean. Parking available. Great for swinging swords around or having a picnic. Maybe both. Maybe at the same time
This beautiful local park is nestled in between busy Parramatta Rd and Ashfield’s mix of low rise apartments and general suburbia. The park has excellent and well utilised facilities including for picnics BBQs exercise and kids play.
There is a unique mix of early 20th century architecture (including the iconic date palm lined walkways) with more modern facilities, a sports field and lawn bowls club. All of this completed with a community garden and the local cenotaph.
Nice and open, big park has a few water bubblers and a toilet, bbq place, children playground, a swing, a big freaking ground and a lot of greenery. There is a Garden at the corner with heaps of plants. Check them out but please dont pluck them, these people work really hard for the garden and it shows. Cheers.
Love the open space. It's a place for all.kids have paly area and adults have place for picnic and football ground. Good for walks too.
This is a wonderfully historical, urban park. Great for children, with a playground near a unlicensed toilet. A multi-table, covered picnic area is just outside the play park.
This is a great park in a great location. The park is big enough to accommodate the usual crowd. There are a lot of open spaces, kids play area, electric barbecue and picnic area. The park is well maintained. The only problem I see here is lack of any parking space. It is very tough to find a parking space nearby on most days.
Nice park, lots of open space, big trees that make oxygen (which is important). Great sport’s field (nice grass), good kids area, bbqs, bowlo. Parking around the outside. War memorial. Exercise equipment. Community vege garden. Does it all really.
Great place for family picnic. Undercover area with four tables, public toilets, kids playground, electric BBQs, plenty of open space for sports. I love it!
This park is great, you'd think it was noisier considering where it is but it's fine. The exercise equipment is nice for a few reps and there's shelter for a picnic in the rain, the toilets are a bit under sized but if you figure out that there are extra ladies ones under the bowlo it's not too bad at all.
A lovely open space with so many options for play. It has a great kids size cricket pitch with a small boundary.
It's a good family park overall with recreation facility.for locals to enjoy. It's a bit odd I didn't see any dog walking with the owners. However, I see family's with their kids having a family picnic.
The park isn't perfect, it requires some upgrading
Large park with public restrooms and plenty of shade and pretty close to many forms of transport such as trains and buses.
There is play equiptment for children and a barbeque area.
The gazebo is a nice area to sit, but often fills up first so if that's the plan get in early.
Highly recommend.
Nice Park. You can fly a kite, kick a ball, throw Fresno's, do a run out find a tree and read a book at its shape. Playgrounds for the kids and interesting art. A nice place to walk around too
Grounds are beautifully maintained! Has a field area for sports and also nice open patches of well kept grass. Also love to take my dog here after rain because there are hardly any muddy spots!
Beautifully maintained by Inner West Council, this iconic Park lies on the Haberfield/Ashfield boundary on the very busy Parramatta Rd. Many city bound commuters will be familiar with the floral arrangement pruned legibly into large letters spelling out "Ashfield Park".
The park is set back from the busy road & is just ten minutes from Sydney CBD.
This huge park boasts expansive lush green parkland accentuated by sky high mature trees, plants & brightly coloured flowers dotted along the impeccably manicured bushy displays.
The park is sectioned several functional areas including a large soccer field, modern children's playground with big undercover area & BBQ facilities. Several adult fitness equipment stations are plotted along the running track for cardio activity, with strength & conditioning & meditation.
The parks heritage is acknowledged in the wonderful solid statues immortalising some significant local personalities one of whom was the author of Mary Poppins.
Ashfield Bowling Club is also located within the park. This establishment offers food & beverage service in the bar & bistro and the ever popular game of bowls can be played on the green either socially or competitively with barefoot bowls increasingly appealing to younger clouds.
Very beautiful and serene. You'll find a lot of trees about 100 years old and more, Perfect place for photoshoot and small gatherings (of course with inner west council approval).
This park is family friendly and enough space I love seeing mum's strolling around with their bubs. And so many program happening in the park it's really alive and energetic park.
Great park with lots of exercise equipment round the park. Nice oval that is well mowed and fresh. Friendly community park however the bathrooms are terrible there and non-sanitaty. Love the small playground and the ANZAC rememberance place on the middle of the park surrounded by Rosemary. Love the park. Not good toilets. Lovely place to sit and relax.
