Artistikca & Manly Sculpture School

We did a live model sculpture class for a hens party and it was fabulous - Katherine was so easy to work with to organise the event, she was flexible with timings and the structure on the day, and she provided really wonderful feedback to each of our attendees to help them create a sculpture that they were happy with. It was a fun and creative way to spend an evening. I absolutely recommend Artistikca for anyone looking to do something a little out of the ordinary. Thank you Katherine!

As a complete beginner, and therefore with some trepidation, I joined a Sip & Clay class with Katherine at Artistika. I am so glad I did. What a joy it is to "play with clay"!

In the beautiful surrounds of North Head in Manly, Katherine has created a warm, welcoming and relaxed environment in which to learn how to sculpt. The classes are incredibly meditative as you immerse yourself in the process of creating a sculpture. At the same time, also learning from, laughing with and admiring the work of fellow students, all under the expert, and patient, mentoring of Katherine.

I have gone to Artistikca and participated within this space for the past few years. As an art model, I can say that the space itself is quite well set up and equipped for sculpture work in such a beautifully perfect location (approx less than 10 minutes from the beach).

HOWEVER aside from the beautiful space of this art school, I can say that the essence of Artiskca is the artist Kat who runs the workshops. She hosts a welcoming presence to all the artists and provides support, guidance and great education and knowledge in the foundations of working with clay. In addition to this she is incredibly professional to work with, kind and passionate for hosting and curating a high standard of sculpture workshops. Throughout all the years I have worked here, I have always seen those who come to Artistikca leaving with pride and excitement of the work they have made as well as all the skills that they had gained.

I highly recommend this sculpture school for those interested in taking part of working with sculpture.

So far this year I have completed a term each in water-based and oil-based clay sculpture. It’s been a real joy to work with Katherine as she guides us towards creating beautiful realistic figures. And we’ve made some great memories working together as a class with no shortage of a laugh!

My daughter and I had an amazing time at the Saturday class. We learnt so much and really enjoyed the time creating our sculptures. Recommended this experience for all ages!

We chose to visit the Manly Sculpture School for a corporate celebration.

It was the perfect way to get our team out of the office, off their phones and engaged in a creative activity.

Katherine's class was detailed and informative, but allowed our team the freedom to experiment and socialise while participating. The studio is also stunning space.

I booked a couples class with my husband and our best friends and we had the most amazing experience. The studio is a beautiful space exploding with inspiring artwork and plants everywhere, the setting is vibrant, warm and inviting and Katherine makes every beginner feel like a pro in the process. We loved creating a piece of art together and nibbling delicious food included in the experience. Thank you Katherine for looking after us and sharing your space and expertise. It was the perfect date night.

I cherish my memories of the classes I took at Manly Sculpture School. Katherine is such a gorgeous spirit and a wonderful sculptor, who really has built a special space. The studio is like a eclectic, nurturing respite for your neglected artistic self, literally tucked away up on the headland up above the petty day-to-day grind. I remember feeling such a joy and peace every night I walked back down to Manly Corso under the stars from a class - alive with this creative electric charge (75% inspired, 25% wine buzzed.)
