Very polite people, but are happy to change what they have said to you before they put it in the system. Vet advised not to perform an x-ray which being non vets we agreed. Turns out he had a broken paw. Lady was nice explaining there side, but vet is useless. They must have called a ring in for the night.

Extremely unhappy with the service and the care of my dog at this place. Waited 3 hours to be seen, our dog was 13 years old. He collapsed Easter Sunday night. We were told about the cost before the diagnosis was explained which was not in any detail, and told he would be fine, after repeatedly asking if he should be euthanized because of he’s age (he was a big dog) and we were repeatedly told he would be fine. The next day we called at 8 am for an updated and waited till 3 pm before they called back with a non descriped update to which I called back to calmly make my worry and disappointment known, to which a vet told me if it was my dog I would take him out of there and take him else where. I then received two phone calls from two different vets over 2 hours.
Tuesday morning we were told we had to transport our dog to our vet, which we found out was not open. To which the response from the lady discharging, that it was not there problem and we had to find a vet to take him.
We found a vet, to which he said our dog should have improved by now, and said was best for him to be euthanized.
I am disgusted by the staffs no care attitudes, the cost of $1990.00 for in stay hospital from 10pm Sunday night till 10am Tuesday morning a 36 hour hospital stay.one fluid drip, two anti nausea needles.
I will be making a formal complaint to the veterinarian board. My dog suffered for 36 hours longer Than he should have which is heartbreaking, and I am livid with the way we have been treated

Took my dog here after he collapsed.we knew he had cancer and would have to be put to sleep but didn't think it would be 2 weeks after the diagnoses. This happened on Anzac day an I had no choice but to take him here. The vet were informed what was happening and because of covid19 we had to wait in the car park. There we waited while other people were attended to non urgent and while my Marley suffered struggling to breathe no one came to access him. After 40 mins and another phone call to tell then how bad he was they finally came out to wheel him in but he died on the way in. So uncaring and so unprofessional. My boy suffered and that was not the way I wanted the end of his life to be like. I'm shattered.

A big thank you to all the staff at AREC, they looked after my cat Jewells and got her back to good health, as she was in a very bad way with a chest infection. Vet, vet nurses and admin are very kind and caring, your pet is in good hands at AREC.

Caring and friendly staff.
Modern and clean facilities in all areas.
Can be expensive for the time you spend here, yet most vets are these days.

While the staff were polite, two vets I encountered (day & night vets) appeared to be straight out of vet school. My dog was hit by a car & they ran so many tests/procedures. When I raised concerns about cost ($3000), they didn't make any recommendations of what tests were absolutely necessary & what weren't. The next day the vet could only tell me what injuries my dog had but not the treatment required. They wanted to keep my dog there for a further 4 days until they could consult the surgeon at a minimum additional cost of $2500 (my dog is 13). I took my dog to my normal vet & he was able to tell me straight away the treatment required & given my dogs age the likelihood of full recovery. The vets here have little experience & the prices are jacked up through the roof. To make matters worse they overcharged a person who just had her pet euthanasied & she had to wait 20mins for them to fix it while clearly upset. At home I looked over my invoice and discovered i had been billed twice for medication. Great that somewhere is opened for emergencies but expect to buy through your nose even though any decent vet would know the prognosis is poor.

Do not take ur cats here ever they immediatley think ur neglecting ur animals plus they allow ur animal to stay alive when they tell u there putting ur pet to sleep which never happened and im currently doing a complaint with the vetinary board of NSW

My Japanese Spitz got stuck into some chocolate chip cookies. The phone was answered by a woman called Page and she was able to let me know that he would be okay (except some potential vomiting and diarrhea). So happy with the service!

Just had to have our cat put to sleep. She was nearly 19 and part of the family. The young nurse and vet who attended us today (Sunday 23/7/17) were so beautiful and caring, it was as if they were looking after their own pet. Thank you.

I had to have my cat put to sleep on Saturday night just gone. It was an awful stressful time but they were very helpful and understanding and made the process as smooth and easy as anyone possibly could. Their receptionist was amazing and I am so grateful to her for her help and support
