I've worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years, and have used Assessor from time to time.
Chad Fraser, my client service manager, has been so professional, courteous, keeping me informed every inch of the way, his repairers were as professional and efficient as him too. He's very fast in arranging the assessor and trades people to repair our storm damaged roof - bearing in mind, my wee claim was handled very professionally, when the country was being ravaged by devastating fires. I felt like I was special, but behind the scenes it must have been chaos with the thousands of fire related claims that would have been pouring in requiring assessment.

I worked for Westpac General Insurance as a Regional Manager for 16 years, and dealt with a few assessors, but you guys run rings around anyone I've worked with. So proud WGI has appointed AJ Grant Group as one of their Assessors, and wish you all the best and a great future, but keep Chad please.

Big shout out to the team at AJ Grant!

After a recent torrential downpour my ceiling started sagging and collapsing over the weekend, I lodged a claim with my insurer and within 60 minutes had trades removing the damaged section of ceiling. The following Monday they were back to carry out an assessment which then turned into a more permanent repair later that week. All finished now and looks good as new.

Highly recommended, I had them price me up some new kitchen cabinetry while they were there and very happy with the quote.

AJ Grant were engaged for our property on an insurance claim. They were completely professional, nothing was an issue and a great positive attitude from the lads on site.

We had AJ Grant attend our insurance claim after recent storms, we found the staff to be professional and polite and on time. We understood the process from start to finish and the tradesmen were really helpful and informative, we would definitely use them again. Judith Sydney

AJ Grant completed significant rectification works to my home. We have a very hard to access site, so in my mind, the build was never going to be straightforward; but Josh, Alan and the team made the process so seamless and kept me up to date at every stage of the process. My husband and I are delighted with the repair quality and would definitely recommend AJ Grant to family and friends.

Do not use, they are cowboys that seriously devalued my home with poor and shoddy work. When contacted they are silent with fixing up their mess. Destroyed artwork with their careless moving of items. Broke a handle off a door, the list goes on. I will never use this group again, if claiming on Insurance use another Company or take a monetary payout and employ real tradespeople. If I could give them no stars, I would!

We had storm damage to our roof. Aj grant got the contract from our insura to replace our roof and garage door. Our house was two years old at the time. When they did the job all the gutters were scratched and damaged there were scratches and damage to the roof it seamed like a very dodgy job. I asked our insurance if they get an inspection done after the job they said they leave it up to the builder. So off my own back I got it inspected by a building inspector. His report was daming. Full of poor warkmanship. Our insurance then got an independent auditor to inspect the job with an engineer I have not seen there report but our insura informed us that the roof and all the gutters have to be replaced again. Now I'm not sure if Aj Grant subbed the job or not but. I WOULD NOT GET THESE PEOPLE TO PUT A ROOF ON MY DOG KENNEL

The AJ Grant Team has been working on our property in the wake of the recent Townsville floods. Top marks to this company. All their team have been so efficient, approachable and easy to work wit in getting our place liveable again.
We want to compliment the A J Grant Team, on how it has handled and assisted us with our insurance claim in relation to the recent Townsville disaster.
Firstly, starting with the Assessor who attended in the first instance, for being so approachable, efficient and actually attending the sites of the devastation. That was so important to us, and being able to answer our questions and, “the where to from here”.
Secondly, Andrew, Damien, Joel, Brad and the rest of the AJ Grant team who have been extraordinary in how they have tackled the rebuild. The office staff, especially Julie, who have checked with us regularly to see if we are happy with the work and answered any questions. Joel makes contact regularly and has always been on time to meet with us – even though he is so busy. Andrew has also been exceptionally efficient in contacting us, meeting at the work site as the rebuild progressed and ensuring that all work is well done.
Truly, we are so grateful, as this level of workmanship and service has really alleviated many of the pressures associated with this type of disaster. A key point that may help in future situations is that we knew from the beginning where we stood and didn’t have to do anything. Also knowing that the builders were competent and do an excellent job, took the worry out of the situation.
A BIG thank you to all the parties involved,
We are telling everyone about A J Grant and Westpac,
Top marks,
 Kind regards and sincere thanks,
 Jennifer and Bernard

AJ Grant have been operating out of my shared office space due to the level of work in the wake of the Townsville floods.
While I can not comment on the quality of work completed by trades, I can attest to their professionalism from a back of house standpoint.
They have all been incredibly friendly and professional in their interactions within the office.
Great team to have in our community.

Maitland / Newcastle

Two years later we're still waiting for our ceiling to be repaired. The first time around they sent a convicted criminal who had been released from gaol two months earlier, who had no idea what he was doing. FOR REAL! He told me he had just been released from prison. Completely dodgy and admitted he was not a qualified tradesman.

I complained to NRMA that the quality of the works we're low as there were big lumps in the ceiling and it hadn't been finished to the required standard. Two years later, there have been multiple people from AJ Grant (NRMA's agent) sent over to inspect the works, but nothing gets done. The only time they got their finger out was when I advised I would leave a negative review and take them to NCAT who would order them to complete the work.

I will update this post when the work is completed.

WORKING FOR THE INSURANCE COMPANY, AIR CON MOTOR SIEZED DRAWING HIGH CURRENT, BUT NOT BURNT OUT? - LOW LIFES SCUM IN MY OPINION.

We lodged this claim with NRMA in February 2018 because there appeared to be moisture inside our laundry wall. We had originally got a plumber to assess the problem and they quoted us $1 500 to remove the wall, fix the leak and put it back to how it was but in our wisdom we decided to lodge a claim with NRMA. NRMA sent an inspector out who confirmed that there was a leak in the plumbing inside the wall. On 08 March 2018 we paid the excess and received a scope of works approval, with AJ Grant Tuggerah being allocated to the job.

Since then we have had no less than 7 instances where tradesmen have come out to assess / do work on the job but to this date we are nowhere near to the job being completed. The wall was removed, the leak repaired (at our cost) and then the wall put back and rendered but not yet tiled or painted. The tiler came in on Monday but refused to do the tiling because one of the other tradesmen allocated by AJ Grant had "removed the waterproofing". He said that now they will have to remove the floor of the laundry with a jackhammer so as to re-apply the waterproofing before he can start tiling.

So we have been without a washing machine for 3 months, have had to take off multiple days work to meet tradesmen at the property and still no end in sight. This is the most unprofessional approach to a job that I have ever come across. NRMA needs to seriously consider taking AJ Grant off their list of recommended providers.
