9 degrees Waterloo reviews
36A sizable surface, good grips and pretty good routsetting. Kilter Board also. Only could fit more boulders.
The gym is Great, a lot of problems. Great area to workout with campus and weight. Friendly staff and location is vet accessible
I recently visited 9 Degrees, an indoor climbing gym, and while the gym itself and the climbing routes were great, I couldn't help but be disappointed by the customer service.
9 Degrees offers an exceptional climbing experience with a wide variety of routes to choose from, making it a prime destination for climbers. If you can overlook the less-than-ideal customer service, you'll likely have a great time here. However, they need to do something to improve its service to match the quality of its climbing facilities.
It’s a nice climbing gym with a good atmosphere. One thing that I find a bit unfortunate is that the climbs are so sparsely distributed on the wall. Packing them a bit more densely would make me want to come more regularly and not run out of interesting climbs to do.
Really fun climbing gym for novices and experts alike. Does somewhat cater a little for kids. There’s barista made coffee available and a selection of drinks. Sections of wall are reset every week which makes it always a treat to return back and find something new. Staff are super friendly as well.
Good consistently graded climbs that range from easy to superhuman. Mad fun, would definitely recommend. Facilities are good and quality of the entire gym is very high.
Parking lot is tiny, jusy park in the first spot you see on the street otherwise someone else will have taken it by the time you circle back.
Same as my review of the Alexandria branch, it has good vibes, creative route setting, and great prices (for 3-12month passes) for serious regular climbers. Their coffee is also really good. This gym is actually more spacious than the Alexandria branch so for that reason I'd think this one is better. Highly recommend using TopLogger to track the V levels of each climb. My one gripe with 9 Degrees will always be their colour-coded difficulty levels. For example, V4 climbs can never make use of the blue coloured holds which are meant for V0-V1 climbs. Can't really complain otherwise.
Absolutely loved this place! Spacious, very friendly staff, free week for newcomers (!) various types of routes from v0 up to v11, chalk provided…. What else! Will get back there every time I am in Sydney!
Lovely staff, amazing vibes, good air conditioning and great for any levels. Good coffee! Loved it!
Visited this gym on my trip to Sydney. For first timers, have 1 week trial when you pay for first session. Gym is new, large, clean and full of nice climbing routes. Easy access by bus. Friendly and kind climbing community.
Always has some great routes to climb which change regularly so there’s always something new.
Cool place to try something new or keep challenging yourself staff are very friendly and are dig friendly too
Great gym. Great value to have pass to all 9d gyms. Creative sets, large space and good amenities.
Such a great place to boulder, so close to Sydney CBD, nice coffee and power snacks to get you into the mood for bouldering
Great gym with nice people and good community. Always a wide variety of climbing walls and levels. Good layout. Can have coffee and snacks and there are events sometimes. See you again soon. Really nothing to complain about and only benefits.

Friendly atmosphere, chill environment. Gym has a lot of variety compared to some of the others.
Great place! I love the vibe. Often there dogs running around and the courses are changing regularly.
They could increase the water pressure on the water fountain perhaps, as it's super slow, and filling a water bottle takes so long.
Cleaner than most climbing gyms, have considerate things available like nail clippers and tape and band aids. They also have a liquid chalk, the climbing area upstairs is never crowded, a lot of open space so even on busy nights it's comfortable.
Was awesome went with my son and daughter in law, they had the best time. Staff was so friendly and explained what I needed to do in great detail. Price awesome. Buying stuff was cheaper then I thought. Good job there guys
Drove across entire city to try the gym first time and unhelpful staff kicked me out as I had only cash to pay with. Since when money are not money anymore?
