29 Nine 99 YUM CHA & TEA HOUSE reviews
54Not enough food for the price. And then a surcharge? Most expensive entree ever. Starvation was real. Tasted yum, Charge a lot.
It's nice place.if you have a plan to go to Mudgee or around nearby that place it's a good chance to have unique experience.you can feel the taste that is almost similar with in china.we are really satisfied to eat and enjoy in here before paying the bill.they have been paid 5 % eftpos surcharge.it have made us to be disappointed.but good taste.
Well worth the 59 km drive up from Mudgee for a unique Yum cha dumpling lunch experience in an old country hotel
Great food, wonderful quirky place thoroughly recommended
Our group of 4 demolished the serving of 8 varieties of dumplings washed down with some local wine
A must do lunch at this beautiful spot in Rylstone. We will definitely return. Yummy food.service.surroundings
Great variety of dumplings on offer and interesting teas. Ladies busy but helpful.
We liked it and was worth the scenic drive.
Fantastic dumplings, great variety provided. The custard dumpling was great way to finish meal
Loved it! We ordered 6 different varieties, including chicken dim sum, pork buns and lamb dumplings. All were delicious and beautifully made. They have a huge range so you will be spoilt for choice, I think all of them were steamed, we didn’t see fried on the menu. For 12 items we paid $40 - note it is cash or bank deposit. No card.
Service was quick, would recommend booking if you are after a seat.
Fantastic food and impeccable service. Close attention to dietary requirements was particularly appreciated!
Amazing range of innovative and traditional fillings. I had twelve dumplings each with a unique filling, all flavoursome and interesting. Beautifully presented food using traditional dishes, this place is exceptional. The green tea range was generous and my choice of Pu-er tea was lightly fragrant with a hint of smokiness. Definitely on the must visit list.
Amazing dumplings. Soooo delicious and great pricing also. Came twice during my stay and highly recommend visiting!
Bubbles and I decided to take a nice drive through the countryside from Mudgee to Rylstone (and got held up with some sheep herding), and I had read 29 nine 99 yum cha & tea house had dumplings, and they were delicious. We chose eight dumplings, each with tea and inhaled them with.such a brilliant stop off on a day of driving the beautiful countryside.
So good and we're not big on yum cha but this busy little place surprised us. The ladies serving were delightful and happy to assist with our choices. We'll be back.
This a Regional "must do". Sitting outside in the sun with friends while sipping on exotic teas and those oh so delicate dumplings is just heavenly. Take the detour to Rylstone you won't be disappointed.
Veggie selection is amazing! And the savoury veggie bun is delicious, A new experience I was hesitant for, but was pleasantly surprised. Absolutely delicious.
Great spot for lunch, wonderful food and good value for what you get. Wish they had eftpos though.
I've tried calling to book in at this place multiple times on 4 occasions. Each time my calls went through to message bank where I left messages (they state they will call you back in their voicemail message). After having no return calls we decided to rock up each time to be met with rude staff saying we should have booked. After finally being seated and ordering, the food came out so quick we barely had time to pick up a dumpling before the next round was upon us. We had plates everywhere and it was chaotic being served food so quickly. Dumplings were average and waitress got flavours wrong so we were mixed up from the get go. Staff were rude trying to hurry us out after serving our final banquet item (and still having 4 full plates of food on the table). Every time I have been disappointed by service and staff attitude.
After hearing how amazing this place and reading the reviews… we were super keen to try but honestly I feel it’s quite over rated, the dumplings were just ok, 7 of us got the 12 piece menu for nearly $40 per head a bit pricey for just ok dumplings.
Beautiful food, great service. Most delectable, home made, dumplings.
Not so cheap, but worth the trip. Just make sure you book as they sometimes run out if they're busy, and they do get busy. All in all, great venue, and experience.
Had numerous recommendations to come here but did not live up to the hype. The dumplings overall are average. Some quite good and others not worth it. Probably the best place to stop in Rylstone though on your way to Sydney or heading West.
Absolutely delicious food in a tranquil setting. Each dumpling was better than the last and the tea selection was wonderful.
