Bought two glasses at 1001. Recently felt the frame is not comfortable. Today drove 30min to 1001 Top Ryde just want to get this adjusted.
The worst customer experience so far, one Korean man feels like he is the owner, got zero patience to even explain clearly to us. Even he said “oh my god” in front of his customers.
Will not come back to 1001!

My wife had an eye test at this place. We were forced to purchase from them after the test. The explanation was, they could not issue a formal prescription without a purchase history. This was very unprofessional. We had been doing eye tests at many places over the years and never before had we been forced into a purchase. The optometrist who performed the test had already been compensated through medicare. On top of that, we would be happy to pay a consultation fee. Frankly, we would consider buying if they had the right product at a reasonable price. They did not have the pack of 6 contact lens package, which we could source elsewhere. Their prices were also very much inflated, 24% higher than the same product offered at Specsavers. Coming here was a mistake. If you are looking for a store with a wide range of product, at reasonable prices, with great customer service, this is not the place. I generally don't leave reviews but this time it really was a very disappointing experience.

Very rude and bad customer service. There were two girls and one of asian girl was very rude. I will never go there again in the future.

We were served by two girls while the owner was present. One was good but the other was rude and had bad customer service. The worst was that the owner didn't care. My mum wasted her time going there a second time and we will not be shopping there in the future. Shame for allowing bad service

I have been this store again recently and no surprise, they ruined my weekend again. Worker there refuse to accept their mistake and give me false information and instant. I have been wearing glasses and contact lenses since my age of 16. I have been with HCF for nearly 6 years and was Bupa previously for more than 5 years, i how how the claim and payment process works. I now normally go to Bupa Macquarie, Specsavers Rhodes, even 1001 Macquarie instead. Been in this store four times, only once positive 2years ago. I have tried my best to avoid this store, but my wife likes the optometrist there. And this is why gave two stars instead of just one.

Purchased 1 sunglasses, 1 reading glasses$500 or so, after 1year 5th, when I putting on the reading glass (brand”briar”) the frame snapped under one side lense, when look closely many tiny cracks all around the frame.shop assistant said only one year warranty suggesting purchase a new”better quality “ pair @$250. I just decided that I better vote with my money and walk away.

Not impressed with the service. Optometrists doesn't seem knowledgeable, just insists on getting a pair of prescription glasses. I'd suggest getting second opinion elsewhere before spending money at this outlet.

The optometrists are very nice and friendly.
I did trial contacts though and my only critique is that the sink inside the office is not working. Washing your hands outside and then going back in to put on your contacts can be unsanitary as you'll be touching the door handle before going back in to pop the contacts on.

Always friendly, responsive and helpful. Thorough eye examinations with results clarified and clearly explained. After exam service is also always exceptional whether it be choosing frames, purchasing frames or other products.

My family has had a great experience with 1001 Optical Top Ryde. We went in last year in April without an appointment and we were able to do walk in eye tests. The team then assisted us with choosing frames and lenses. The glasses that we ordered were ready to collect within a timely manner. Within a month of using mine, I had an issue with one of the lenses and the team offered to replace both of them at no cost the very next day. The new lenses have been serving me well for the past few months. Today, over 6 months later, I realised that I am unable to locate my prescription, so I emailed the team to check if they still have it on file. They responded within minutes, even though it was only 10 minutes before they closed for the day.
Great experience overall, will definitely be back:)

The team at 1001 are always trying to look after you. This was especially apparent when my son's glasses broke after we moved interstate and the team at 1001 quickly and efficiently helped us get replacement frames.

I got my eyes tested with Melody. She recommended me 2 products that I am very satisfied with for my inflamed eyes. The Tea Tree foam cleanser is working very good for my skin and the optimel manuka honey eye drops have done wonders to my eyes. I am very grateful for her kind and professional service.
