Always love coming here, great food. Family owned and operated, so you'll always get the same service each and everytime. Love the service and food to match

The pho is yammy! I went here a bit early but need to buy some food for my friend at hospital, the staff is so friendly and open early to prepare the dishes for me. Really appreciated!

It ok.

The service and atmosphere is good. However I didn't love the food, it was just ok. My wife and I had variations of the egg noodle soup. The soup was a little sweet. Wontons tasted a bit like uncooked meat.

The dishes are simple but also really well priced. Tried 5 different dishes and all were very delicious. Also, the customer service was outstanding and our server went out of his way to accommodate our requests. Will definitely be coming back.

Thought I’d give these guys a go and unfortunately was disappointed. Firstly, I ordered the egg noodle soup with chicken to be served on the side along with the soup (leaving the noodles dry). I was told this was not possible despite this being a standard practice at any authentic Vietnamese restaurant which this place appeared to be. Owner/manager even agreed that this was done at other restaurants but not them. Okay, so I order the pho. It was okay nothing special with minimal beef.

Overall, poor experience considering the prices (higher than average) and with better alternatives in Canberra.

I hope they lift their game or else I question how long they will be able to operate for.

The chicken pho lacked flavour and depth. Slightly improved with adding sauces and chilli. The chicken in the soup tasted like it had been refrigerated for a few days. The noodles were good though. Disappointing

I phoned through order combination rice noodles (number 6) old man couldnt understand me I repeated the order and number.
Went to pick up my order I knew he'd gotten it wrong.
He said you ordered pho noodle soup. I said that's not number 6. After disagreeing back and forth I just decided to take the pho bowl.
As I walked away of course they spoke in their language. Never again.

Of all places in Canberra that make rice paper rolls I think this one is quite generous with the serving size and content of meat and prawn (most places just serve you vermicelli and vegetables). Good price as well. Would recommend it.

We came across this restaurant on visiting Woden Plaza after almost 6 years. So many changes and new restaurants along Keltie St. We were pleased to see variety choices of Beef Phõ, which my husband and elder son immediately ordered Phõ Tai Sat and Phõ Dac Biet. I decided to try out their Bun Bo Hué, while my younger boy ordered the special combination broken rice with pork chop. We also ordered a serve of spring rolls.

Service was ok though could be improved with a smile. Phõ and broken rice tasted good tho my bun bo hue was a bit too oily - I felt I was drinking oil rather than soup. For the size of bowls and price, I was disappointed that meat slices and bits were insufficient. I have eaten at other restaurants and normally find I am unable to finish my noodles and meat, but it was the other way around at Viet Nam House.

Still, a reasonably good variety of Vietnamese dishes to try out if you are at Woden and crave some hot soupy broth.

Visiting Canberra again for a few days, I discovered this restaurant strip and decided on Vietnamese, as I felt like their beautiful, fresh flavours that I am accustomed to. The reality was disappointing.

I walked in about 8: 45 pm and the staff just wanted the order quickly, and not much else. The Grilled fish was burnt black on the underside. Did they think I wouldn't notice? They brought me another one shortly without complaint, and although the flavours were fairly nice, the dish was swimming in vegetable oil.

At 9 pm, the staff was packing up chairs on all the tables, and the music was shut off at some point. I was barely finishing my (second serving of my) meal and wasn't given the time to finish my glass of wine at a normal pace; rather I had to down it alittle quickly.

There was barely a smile from any of the three staff I dealt with over the time I was there.

Clearly nobody from the restaurant reads these reviews, and they don't even have the correct address since they (apparently) relocated at some point. I wonder if anyone there actually cares about their customers at all.

I've eaten here a few times over the years. It's always been an uneven experience. Located in Woden Plaza, a busy shopping centre, the place should be really moving. But it wasn't and so I was wondering what was wrong. The vegan Vietnamese restaurant a couple shops away was full so it wasn't lack of people or location. Today we had the bad part of uneven. Our staff member gave every appearance of not wanting to be there. Her sour face and lack of interest was a real turn off. We put in our order. I asked for water and nothing happened. At the end I saw a few water bottles and glasses on the counter so I helped myself. My partner can't use chop sticks and asked for eating irons. They arrived with hands all over the eating ends. The food was bland and quite basic. I've tasted good Vietnamese food and this was not it. Finally, the bill was incorrect and the pay wave machine was temperamental so it took a few tries to finalise the account. All in all, a night to be remembered for all the wrong reasons. We won't be visiting this place again.
