Tu Do Vietnamese Restaurant

Miniscule servings for food delivery. 5 small pieces of fish for pepper fish. 4 small pieces of beef in red stewed beef. Unable to resolve through uber or iver phone. Very defensive about portion size. Poor form. Been a customer since 1998, no more.

The employee there, nephew of the lady owner there, threaten to physically assault a customer because I dared to show my frustration at their unsatisfactory service on Tuesday lunch time 12/09/2023.

I wish I called the police. This place is not safe.

Certainly a good example of Vietnamese hospitality and cuisine. There's no complaining about the price and food is good.

A simple request take away cup for my coffee, very rude way rejected my request. "No, we dont have take away coffee cup". I said we willing to pay for extra. " No, we don't have. " Then she just walked away. Seems like she doesn't care about it. We definitely will tell our friends and families to avoid this restaurant.

10/10 restaurant. I have been coming here since I was a kid, used to come here after my swimming lessons every Tuesday and get a warming pho between me and my mum.
5 years later and sunny the lovely owner still remembers our names.

This place is basically a Canberra institution and is the benchmark for special beef noodle soup.

Decent Vietnamese food by Canberra standard but not that great compared to Sydney or Melbourne.

I’ve been here a lot because food is really nice here. But my last service was very disappointed. The soups were tasteless and the food was bland

For a quick meal. Food has always been great and we have been going since '80's

We got takeaway for a Saturday lunch which was really nice. Staff were friendly and amenable. We both had Pho and both really enjoyed it. Can't comment on the rest of the menu as we haven't tried it (yet).

Really disappointed with this restaurant, they are really rude with their customers while doing a complaint about wrong orders. You can notice that the owner doesn't care about the customers.

Been eating at this restaurant for more than 20 years. Consistently good Vietnamese food, never disappoints.

One employee serving the whole floor, had to wait a long time for everything, including just to get some water. Food was very disappointing, I don't even know what else to say, just not worth even bothering.

I love this place.
But my vegetarian girlfriend doesn't like the options.
Would be great if they changed the menu so I could eat here more often.
The mint beef is my favourite highly recommend. They also have mint chicken which is also good.

Tu Do is one of my favorites as the food is good, the price is right and the service is nice and friendly.

I was very disappointed.
The dishes ordered were dry and flavourless.
The Vietnamese spring rolls were good though, everything else was very ordinary.

After 3 years being overseas our first stop for takeaway was to return to the TuDo Restaurant in O’Connor. The wonderful cooking smells as you walked in the restaurant was so good. We ordered big on the TuDo meals, our favourites we discussed every time we thought of Vietnamese Food. Tu Do didn’t disappoint. We loved our chicken wings, veg spring rolls, chilli chicken and lemon grass, satay chicken and stir fry veg. Great food. We travel all the way from Jerrabomberra to enjoy their food. They don’t disappoint

Really nice food. The staff were very helpful to accommodate food intolerances (no garlic, onion, shallots, tomato). They did accidentally bring out one dish topped in dried onion/shallots but the once the waitress noticed they were very quick to replace it and very understanding.

I would highly recommend!
