The Conservatory Restaurant reviews
45This was my first experience of the restaurant at the Arboretum and I invited a dear friend for a birthday lunch. We were both very happy with the choice as the setting is superb, the area is light and airy, the tables well spaced and not at all noisy. The food was excellent with a good choice of dishes on the two- or three-course menu. I’ve already booked for next week with other friends!
Great location, friendly & great service and the Xmas menu (three course) was spectacular. Well done Ginger at the Arboretum, 10/10 today
Just had a wonderful lunch here. The menu was outstanding, food was amazing, complimentary bubbles was a nice unexpected touch. Our host, Georgia, was excellent, very efficient and friendly. Thank you for a lovely time
The food, atmosphere and view are amazing. Will be back to try more of the menu. Lovely restaurant for a special occasion.
Only downside is having to pay for parking while dining.
Took my mum for her birthday, didn't realised I had booked the Christmas lunch but she still loved it, food was delicious and very filling and the view was amazing
The BMW Motorcycle Club Canberra 2021 Awards and Christmas lunch was a fantastic success with great food and outstanding service by the team Ginger at the Arboretum.
Lovely food and venue. Staff very pleasant and attentive. We enjoyed our lunch very much thanks!
An excellent experience in a stunning location. The atmosphere was festive, the staff were attentive, and food was delicious. Special mention to the sauce accompanying the barramundi, wish I could get a tub of that!
The Food was amazing. The Waffles was.it was pretty and flavourful.the View is definitely nothing like anywhere else in Canberra.so My partner really enjoyed every bit of his birthday brunch.definitely love coming here.
We regularly go to the Ginger Catering evens at the Arboretum. The food is always amazing and such good value for money! We recently went to the Christmas Lunches that were offered over the month, the menu was so good for each course (3 courses) I couldn’t even choose! I ended up getting the zucchini flower, barramundi and rum and raisin ice cream. The zucchini flower was perfect, nice and light in a way but also creamy as the feeling was cheesy! The barra was SO soft I didn’t need a knife at all and the dessert was yum! Only $70 for 3 course meal with a glass of bubbly on arrival! And obviously the location is amazing! So nice and relaxing and feels special! Services also amazing!
The Gluten Free Sumac and cauliflower pie. The most amazing pastry with the most delectable creamy filling. It was $10 but so awesome I'd recommend it to anyone. Plus, in a takeaway container I could sit outside in the sun enjoying the view and, as a coeliac, a rare delicious savoury treat.
The food was wonderful as always, with the Christmas pudding to die for, and even on a rainy day just the view is worth the trip!
Lovely lunch at Ginger great view, delicious food with lots of gluten-free options even lovely desserts and amazing service to go with it. Highly recommend we will definitely be back
Excellent food, excellent service. A great place to meet friends and enjoy a good meal and great views. Looking forward to celebrating Christmas here.
New year's party was a massive fail.
Main meal service at 10pm.
Rude staff.
Waste of money
Hated it. The WORST flat white in a long while by a disinterested employee. She just sloshed the lightly warmed up milk without bothering to aerate straight down into the cups. Recommend training if you’re going to charge customers for coffee.
Service and view were fine, but dishes were quite average. The lamb in main dish was overcooked, hard to cut and chew. Besides, the waiting period between courses were a little bit long. And the flies were quite annoying.
Exceptional service by all wait staff and outstanding food.
Would definately recommend but make sure you have a booking.
Lovely location, great views and interesting building. The breakfast is nice, looks stunning but not necessarily as tasty as it looks. Higher end of average for price.
Staff are super lovely and easy to book online.
Make sure you pay for enough parking to check out the views/gift shop.
Thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful gruyere soufflé and mushrooms (and a side of yummy bacon) with the Sunrise fruit juice cocktail as part of the Monet Impressions breakfast special. Very tasty and the juice was refreshing and sweet. Great food, great service and views to match. Definitely on my list to visit again.
