Taj Mahal Indian Restaurant

Food was ok. They have taken 55min for chapathi n malai kofta. Lot of people came after me and they got served quicker than mine. I 'll not visit again as they did not prioritise the orders. They also considered additional set of chapathi on my order which I did not ask them. Fortunately they did not charge but wasted food.

We have been to Taj Mahal several times now and every time it is an absolute delight. The service is so accommodating and the interiors are really fun. The food is absolutely delicious. Great for group dinners especially.

My family came here to celebrate my mum's birthday and we really enjoyed our meals. The food was delicious and such a great value too. The service was very good as well.)

Small cosy restaurant with a warm, intimate vibe. Friendly helpful waiter. Good food. White wine by the glass is limited, but they give you a mini bottle which is more like two glasses, so can't complain!

Bit of slow service, due to high order and it was weekend. But as soon we tasted the food, all complaints about late serve went away. Delicious Indian cuisine. A must try.

The staff accommodated a very large group of us without notice and quickly arranged further tables when more of us arrived, food was delicious, and special props to our waiter Shannon who was incredibly attentive and went out of his way to ensure the vegans and vegetarians were well-catered for. Had the vegetable vindaloo and my brother has the butter chicken, both were delicious. Price of curry includes rice which made the whole meal great value. Exceptional service and nice decor, this hidden gem is definitely worth checking out! Cosy, authentic, and tasty curry in the heart of Canberra. Excellent service by Shannon who showed us the art of lotus folding. The menu would benefit from additional vegetable side dishes, otherwise no complaints.

All the reviews of the Taj Mahal make it sound great. So off we went. It was unassuming, but super busy, which we took as a good sign. It looked like there was only one waiter on though, so we thought it could be a long night. Well. We certainly underestimated that one waiters ability. Shannon ran upstairs & downstairs with ease. He was super friendly and really made us feel like we were the only ones there. Food arrived promptly and was really delicious. All curries are cooked to your liking, mild, medium & hot. They had some traditional sides like banana & coconut and tomato & onion. If you like well priced, well cooked tasty Indian food served by a friendly waiter. Then book a table at the Taj Mahal tonight.

The sauces are lovely and naan bread is heaven sent. However I much prefer chicken breast and not thigh. Would prefer to pay more to have that. Please! The ambiance of the restaurant is very cosy and we loved it. Service is also very good.

Came here late on a Friday night not expecting much from the outside, came in to an amazing restaurant where it was a perfectly set mood with a great vibe. Straight from the get go the amazing waiter Shannon was at once attentive and kind and an all round brilliant waiter who even took time to teach us how to fold the lotus napkins. The food came and while too hot for our liking, the taste was amazing and the Naan bread was the best we've had. Please send our regards and thanks to Shannon, it was a lovely night:)

We visit Canberra a couple of times a year from Victoria. This restaurant is our first stop and best stop. Fantastic food reasonably priced and a wine list that is cheap average price 22 a bottle. A family run restaurant with a cosy atmosphere. Can’t fault it.

Food is nice but be aware if you are asked if you would like papadams to start they are not complimentary, 4 papadams and a little serve of mango chutney will set you back $7.

Incredible service, fantastic food. I highly recommend this place. Couldn't be happier with how we were treated.

Good indian cuisine specially when you away from India for 4 weeks and feel like eating indian veg food.
