Sweet Bones Bakery and Cafe

Lovely! Great service, delicious food and really fast service. I would recommend (even to non vegans) as the food is just delicious and tasty!

Located near the rainbow roundabout, this cafe bursts a wide vegan menu including an all day breakfast. Stand out items are the Mexican dishes and the smoothies. A wide selection of cakes, muffins and cookies are also available at the display by the service counter. Friendly service also. No table service.

We came here kind of earlier in the day like breakfast so we ordered the basic breakfast things, with one of them being pancakes. Although it did take a bit, that is normal and it was worth just a few minutes. The pancakes, burger and acacia bowl were unique, especially the pancakes with a higher amount of fruits and detail for the flavour so it just made it tastier. It was kind of the same for the other dishes, and the coffee was exceptional. As a side note, as usual, the staff were very nice like every staff member should be of any place and the food equally as great (probably even better).

Delicious plant based food. I went a few times when I was visiting Canberra and loved it, but did find that some of the flavours are very similar across a lot of their meals though which was a little disappointing, but it's still a good solid vegan joint and I love what they do!

I ordered a vanilla and lemon cake for my mum’s 50th birthday. When I placed the order, I specifically asked for cake to be well decorated since it was for a very important birthday. I offered to pay extra for decorations and any extras. When I went to pick up the cake the lady at the till showed it to me and the decoration was so simple that my face dropped and she could see the disappointment on my face. She was extremely lovely and quickly offered to get the baker to do a bit of piping to liven the cake up a little! I was grateful for this! After waiting for a while, I was shown the final product, the base color was pink and piping done in purple and yellow. It looked absolutely awful but I pacified myself with the thought that it probably tastes amazing and no one would notice the awful cake decor over the amazing taste! Boy, was I wrong! The cake tasted worse than it looked! It was doughy and dense, there was absolutely no taste of lemon whatsoever! It was an extremely disappointing experience and completely ruined my mum’s 50th birthday surprise! The cake is generally the star of birthday parties. I am sharing my experience so as to enlighten the owners and the bakers to the fact that birthday cakes mean something to people! When it is prepared in such a haphazard manner, it looks and tastes awful and it’s a real let down! I sincerely hope they learn from this and not ruin anyone else’s birthday experience.

The food is delicious.especially the treats (sinnerbuns are to die for) the coffee is beautiful real smooth blend that I adore, can't go into Brandon without stopping by to grab a treat n coffee. Highly recommend trying this place out if you haven't already xx

I liked the atmosphere of the cafe. Not very quiet but it was the place that you can be relaxed and enjoy coffee comfortably. The cream on the banana bread was awesome. I don’t know what it was but best matched with the bread:) and fruits were beautifully decorated so you can enjoy visually as well.

With all the vegan options these days, this is still my favorite place to visit. Food, atmosphere, people, decor, all just right. Love you guys!

Love this cafe. As a person with serious intolerances to gluten and lactose, I can eat here without stress of contamination or difficulty finding food. They have plenty of both breakfast and lunch options, as well as desserts that are gluten/lactose free. They cater very well for vegans/vegetarians. Prices are reasonable, and has a great atmosphere.

This is the best vegan food place in Australia. Beats a lot of the vegan restaurants in Melbourne even that it prompts us to leave a review for them as more people should be aware of this place.

If you’re in Canberra, make sure to come here. The pies are crazy amazing and in our opinion much better than another well known vegan pie place. The coffee (we had soy latte & long black) is the best! Other great options are the mac & cheeze wrap or mushroom deluxe burger.

Hmmmm love Sweet Bones for really good coffee and delicious vegan food. I especially love the Buddah Bowl - who would think just salad could be so tasty and filling - the secret is the nut dressing, you'll have to try it to understand how delicious it is.

Amazing coffee! Amazing food! Amazing, kind, vibrant and friendly staff! This place is a must go! Absolutely love it there! Will be back for sure! 10/10 recommend!

I'm not a vegetarian but I love visiting Sweet Bones. My go to is their berry smoothie and 'sausage roll'.

They close at 4pm but at 3.45pm (the earliest I could get there) everything was packed up and the waitress wouldn't sell us anything. All we wanted was a cupcake for my daughters birthday, she is allergic to milk protein and egg so traditional bakeries are not an option. Very unhappy with the service, if the closing time changes depending on the whim of the staff that should be expressed on their website.

Awesome espresso and the best cupcakes. An assortment of healthy sustenance and the serving sizes are right on target. I've been going for a couple of years now and the nature of nourishment, espresso and administration is reliably extraordinary:

Ridiculously overpriced. I have never come across a place that serves a half size smoothie as the only size and for $9.50! Definitely would not have purchased had I known the size, should put the sizing on the menu or show the cups for size. Incredible rip off. Would not recommend.

Staff was rude, didn’t even greet us when we walked in. Menu online is different from the one in the cafe. Way too overpriced.
