Ocean Fresh Seafoods and Cafe

Fyshwick. Hot food is terrible. Scallops doughy, chips overcooked and dry, crumbed and battered fish tastes 'dirty' or mouldy somehow. $60 worth of inedible food. Also the team are confused whilst yelling at each other getting orders wrong. Quality here isn't what it used to be. I won't be back.

Unfortunately the quality of the cooked seafood seems to have dropped over the years while the prices have increased significantly. Fish and chips with an extra fish was $38 and tare tare sauce was $2 extra. Chips were soggy and the fish was wet with oil. Will not buy again.

Had a great lunch there yesterday - the staff were very patient with me has I have some food allergy issues and had to make sure it was all OK. I had battered fish chips and salad and it was really very good! Would happily go there again.

Good quality seafood. Probably best in Canberra. Have been coming here for years and never disappointed. Prawns overpriced at Christmas though but top quality.

Always enjoy of mixed Grill and other misc items we order. You don’t have to get chips you can ask to get salad.
Hope I can get a mussel fritter and some raw fish soon. Actually we haven’t been for a while.
What time dose the kitchen close?

Parts of crumb fish overcooked some undercooked some parts were black.took it back and got battered which was way undercooked and inedible and went in the bin.won't be back

They have a pretty good range of seafood available here including abalone and caviar. There are not many places that sell real caviar from Yarra Valley Caviar. Yours truly @fooderarri

Haven’t purchased fresh fish here, only takeaway and it’s always been great. Portions are generous, quality is good. Would definitely come back for takeaway again, some of the better fish and chips in Canberra

Waiting 25 mins for a lunch order isn't really acceptable. Then your order is incorrect. I don't know what's happened. Used to be great but no more

Purchased 1kg of small tiger prawns on Saturday and over half went in the bin on Sunday as they were smelly and gross and for 39 bucks a kg is disgusting.will never shop here again.would have given no stars but to post you need at least one.not Deserving at all.

I’ve seen a couple of reviews on this place recently and? Honestly I can’t seem to see why they would be throwing such bad reviews up. I’ve been coming here for the last 2 years and these guys know their s@#t. I have bought some of the sweetest barramundi I have ever tasted from these guys and the service is always on point!
Pleasure to be in this shop, doesn’t smell either.

Absolute worst ever experienced, threw food in the bin to save them the embarrassment in front of their customers, everything charred and smelly, learn to cook or hire someone that knows how, never again.

Selected some fresh fillets and prawns from the retail shop and had them cooked unbelievably good will be back

Fantastic food the lady chef is awesome I go every Saturday and Sunday since I tried her seafood cooking and generosity.

Went to buy some seafood last week very disappointed with unprofessional customer service, i asked about the fish staff could not give me enough information, all new faces and poor service.

My partner and myself went to buy seafood one of the staff scared my partner from the back and i found him alcohol smell coming from his mouth.really dont understand how that person is allowed to be work with this kind of manner.i m not going back to that shop as it is not safe.

Ordered lunch on Thursday and the chips weren’t cooked correctly and the battered fish was raw inside. Very disappointing as I have been there before and it’s normally excellent. Hesitant to return if the quality remains like this moving forward.
