La Rustica

Outstanding menu, service sometimes a little lax and staff needed to be encouraged to do their job. However the food is worth waiting for and all 8 of us had a great time.

Booked early for Mother's Day and were allocated an inside window table. Have come to appreciate this gem on the Kingston Foreshore. Consistently enjoyable great pasta, meat dishes and flavoursome pizzas. The affagato coffee is well worth waiting for with its top of the range icecream scoops and excellent coffee. Book early and often. Enjoy the outdoor tables if you find that multiple conversations closeby challenging.

I have always tried to visit La Rustica anytime I visit Canberra. Great selection of meals to choose from and I have never been disappointed. Great location on the Kingston Foreshore on Lake Burley Griffon.

Wow! Best pasta I have had in a long, long time. I had the fettuccine with smoked salmon. Beautiful. Bustling and friendly place to eat. Great service.

Had a family birthday ordered the $50 three courses. The risotto was amazing, pizzas were great. The best service ever. Would highly recommend.

Do not order the steak if you are hungry and suffering from “hangry”. It took over 70 minutes for our order to be delivered to the table. Poor effort by the staff, even after being approached. I do not recommend anyone go to this establishment if you want a juicy steak within a reasonable time.

A Total disaster of a meal. Massive long wait to be served. Ordered garlic bread for 4 and served 2 small pieces of microwaved bread with a spread (not butter or garlic). Lasagne was: (disgraceful. Grilled chicken was asked for to be grilled extra well. It never seen the grill.bloody poached. Tough as hell. The sauce had no flavour and upon inspection of the fatty tough chicken was indeed thigh. It was all slop. They got gift pizza wrong and 2nd pizza wrong. Waitress was s nasty little piece. Do yourself a favour if you like good food give this joint a miss and their sloppy dirty old chairs.

Great place to celebrate something special. Today was my birthday, and we chose "la rústica" as a special spot to get some food and share feelings. Thanks guys for that lunch! It was great and tasty! Beautiful!

I ate at La Rustica and the restaurant was so noisy that we had a very uncomfortable experience. We couldn't hear each other across the table so ate quickly and left as soon as we could.

The Balmain Bugs dish smelt fishy and some of the bugs didn't taste nice at all. Our server couldn't explain to us what a certain cut of beef was and just said "It's beef" so the bugs were chosen instead. I really regret ordering them and had major food envy looking across at other tables.

The other meals were great, as they usually are there, and the rest of the service was fantastic. I'll think I'll give La Rustica a break for a while after this experience as it is quite expensive and was a bit of a let down this time.

Good food, friendly Staff, but the cleanliness of the place, even in general, can certainly be improved.

Attended a special dinner here. Nice restaurant but unfortunately my Lasagna was served in a bowl bigger than the portion, swimming in tomato sauce and it was lukewarm and cold in the middle. Not impressed.

Excellent service and great meals at La Rustica tonight. Pasta and gnocchi meals were plentiful; veal, chicken and Salmon dishes were really tasty and good portions to satisfy. Will absolutely be back. Only draw back for our older companions was the volume of the restaurant.

Beautiful setting on the water with an open air feel even when you are inside. Food exceeded our expectations - large fresh salads with lots of veggies; crisp and flavorful pizzas; and my favorite - pasta with eggplant. Special mention for the garlic bread. Appreciate that they were happy to accommodate a high chair with our party.

It was super fun and Nanny' s 61st birthday at the restaurant and we had a lovely dinner. Service was fine and quite good value. Would go again

This place is incredibly delicious! The staff are so amazing and super friendly. The only reason why I didn’t give this place a 5th star is purely because the price tag is hefty compared to the amount of meat you get.

Food was ok. I had the gnocchi. The gnocchi itself was done well but the flavors lacked punch. The service was ok but varied servers and a little confusion (until the cheque came lol). The dessert was lovely and the house shiraz was nice. For the price, I probably won't go again though.

We came last week for our work Christmas dinner and were a table of 15. It was a busy Thursday night and the restaurant was full. Service was fantastic, food fresh and flavoursome and they always ensured we had plenty to drink. This is a great family run Italian restaurant with a modern twist - everything is very reasonably priced and the foreshore setting is beautiful! Would recommend and will be back!

Nice restaurant really good service
Very busy early evening so book to be sure of a table. We had veal and fish and would only rate 3 stars, way too much sauce which smothered the taste somewhat.
Good variety of wines and beer
