69Super friendly staff just like you are part of the family. Food was amazing and the kids meals excellent value and a hit with the kids. This place is a must to visit if you love great Italian food and service.
Let me start by saying the food is amazing, hence 2 stars! But… the service… was so poor. We had to get up and go to the staff to ask for service because no one noticed us raising our hands to try and get some attention - and that started by just trying to get some table water after we had been seated for some time. The restaurant was busy but there is no excuse for ignoring a table no matter how busy a restaurant is.
After we asked the staff for service they were right behind me, so we ordered table water, drinks and our food all in one go.
Getting a second round of drinks was the next time we had to go looking for a staff member to get some service, again they were right there when asked but if you have a table service system then table service should be provided.
One of the people in our group (of 4) went to the toilet and there was no toilet paper.
It was really disappointing that such a nice restaurant is letting itself go down because staff, including the main waitress, can’t even look up high enough to notice guests waving at you to get a little service from 2 tables away.
So, if you go there you will enjoy the food, but don’t expect too much from the staff.
Not living in Canberra anymore and this was a fav, great to see nothing's changed for the worst. Still amazing food, served hot and a great buzz from the dining arrangements. Most of all it's mega busy so you must book. That said was ultra impressed with a last minute decision for us to dine as walk ins and they accommodated with a smile. My order was taken wrong, only downer was waitress walked away without an update (I would have accepted it) but shortly after kitchen rectified with a hot result. Great social chat with staff too. Thanks everyone
Great Italian place with a waterfront view. Has a mix of classic Italian pastas, pizzas and risottos as well as afew other dishes. Atmosphere was had a busy social vibe to it and the lighting was comfortable.
Great food, good value for money and large portions. Downside was we were packed in like sardines indoors (the back of my chair was touching another person’s with our heads probably 10cm away from each other) and the Saturday night I was there it was so unbelievably loud that I couldn’t hear what people on my table were saying, and my ears were ringing for the rest of the night. Never thought I’d be complaining about noise as someone in my 20s, but it ruined the entire dining experience. Would recommend going on a quieter weeknight.
I honestly cannot believe the ratings. I had an anchovy bread entrée that tasted like it was from Woolworths and a lamb main that was overpriced and pretty uninspired.
This was one of the best places we've ever eaten. Every meal was sensational. Big meals, reasonable prices, great staff.
They have great lamb chops and pizza! Always been my dinner go to place whenever Im craving for something proper! Staffs are very friendly too.
Good, well run Italian restaurant on thr foreshore with reasonable prices.
The pizza we got was well done and put in a timely manner. The portion sizes for the other dishes at the tables was larger than average.
The restaurant also has a well stocked bar.
Really good Italian option on the foreshore.
Was our best Restaurant in the NatCap before we moved to the Island. Excellent Italian. Great service. BYO. The food was so good you had trouble picking what you wanted each visit. Nice spot to eat in. Can be noisy but part of the fun. Parking about - easy walk from Kingston and surrounds.
I love this restaurant. Great atmosphere, family run and the food is always great. Go there often.
It's so nice to have done out options available again
Staff were super friendly and attentive.
Not to noisy.
Food was good.
Location is lovely
Parking is easy
Having not been out in a while we got carried away and ordered way to many dishes.
Food was served quickly and hot.
Cocktails where better each time and staff made great suggestions
The life time supply of parmesan cheese in a bowl left for us to use was welcomed and comical at the same time.
Great pizzas! One one the best that we could find in current take away only world of lockdowns.
Lovely staff, great food, even gluten free options. Small number of stairs to get to the toilets but such a great venue
Half restaurant empty but even like that they didn't allow us to do walk in without reservation. No worries.next time I won't even consider it.we ate next door and 30' later that restaurant was still empty.
Lovely service from the staff. However the food took far too long to reach the table (the place was booked out, however management should have rostered adequate staff) and for the price we expected more authentic food. Further the menu was far too long, reduce the menu and master a few items. If you like an American take on Italian food than this is the place for you, but its not quite Italian.
Pizzas are excellent, the Bianca (Garlic pizza) is a must try. The pastas and mains that I have tried have all been delicious, the Medaglione Di Menza (Beef Tenderloins) in particular is a very good dish. The place can get pretty noisy if it is packed but otherwise the place has a good atmosphere, pricing is reasonable for the quality.
Great service and food on a freezing cold night, had the bistecca and it was exceptional. Definitely a must-visit if you’re in the Kingston area
Great Italian restaurant in Canberra. Lovely ambiance and good selection of pizza, pasta, mains, drinks and dessert. Ordered Margarita Pizza for my son and also Arancini balls (4) for entree which were very good. Mains were Veal Saltimboca which was very tasty and I really felt like a Fettucini Boscaiola which wasn't even on the menu but the chef made it for me anyway which was made to perfection. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. Can highly recommend!
Probably the most tender veal I have eaten recently. Great service, can be noisy as with many restaurants these days.
