La Capanna

Tonight we enjoyed a delicious dinner at La Capanna. The long awaited reopening after Summer Holidays was a success for this little business however this was only made possible to the amazing efforts of Tom (The lad representing the front of house). The restaurant was full with many others waiting for a table and somehow Tom was able to accommodate everyones needs. Swift, sure and professional. The Caprese salad was fresh and well balanced and the pizzas were delicious with a fresh base and well prepared toppings.

Happen to stumble across this quaint little Italian restaurant by accident - glad that I did. Would have to be one of the best bruschetta's that I have had in a very long time. The food was super fresh and delicious - but the most impressive was the exceptional service. The two young adults were swept of their feet but did not stop providing excellent service. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in Canberra next.

On the strength of several visits, we find the food to be consistently delicious and the atmosphere warm and friendly. La Capanna serves up brilliantly a little piece of Italy at a very modest price. We recommend it highly.

We used to come here for many years as a family and even a few years ago. Recently my wife and I went back and whilst the charm and service are always great, the pizza was underwhelming, undercooked, the dough tasted old. Disappointed.

Would give 6 for service if I could! The two young waiters were amazing and very diligent and so well mannered. Very busy and pumping place and food was immaculate.

Food was amazing, there was a bit of a wait on food, but servers where very good at communicating and checking on us. This is probably the best Italian place I have been to. Food was reasonably priced as well. Focacia was amazing and the seafood marinara was superb

I have been dining at this restaurant for over 20 years, very disappointed tonight to arrive for a 7.30 seating to be told we couldn’t order pasta as there was an hour wait time. The staff were trying their best and were very apologetic for the delays. We said we were happy to wait for our pasta only to see a party who arrived after us to be served their food before us… The food when it arrived was very good, but I’m sorry to say I won’t be returning.

Fantastic service and food! I finally tried this place for my birthday and it was the best decision ever! The staff they have are all friendly, kind, lovely and nice. Everything we had here was good especially Carbonara Regina! We loved it so much, ordered another one! Loved every second we spend here.

Food was great. That table near the back was not - shouldn’t put people there it was squeezed in a corridor next to stacked chairs, the toilet and the kitchen. We booked over a month in advance and there was nowhere else to sit. Decor could do with a refresh to be honest, staff were chatting over us and had to get up to get attention a couple of times.

Really authentic Italian pizza and pasta. Not overloaded with too many ingredients. Didn't have to wait too long.
The service was a little slow - it felt like maybe they were missing a team member. Having said that the staff were very attentive and if we asked for something we always got it it just took a few minutes.
Looking forward to trying more of the menu on another occasion

Looked understaffed but staff members who were present did their best to accommodate everyone.
All 4 of us were impressed by our dishes. Definitely will be back.

Pretty ordinary, but a lovely trip down memory lane! The menu hasn't changed, and the food is still good.

Old favourite in Kingston. Restaurants come and go in Kingston but La Capanna carries on with its non-fuss tasty Italian menu. Great food.

We came across this place on a busy Friday night (after finally getting a park!). It looks like a family run restaurant so we went in and it didn’t disappoint.
The pizza and pasta we ordered were terrific. Service was friendly and efficient as it was quite busy.
They had some very tasty Italian wine selections which were reasonably priced as were the meals too.
We loved it and I recommend it.

Beautiful little Italian restaurant. Missing risotto from the menu but asides from that the meals were very high quality. The breads could be better. Service was excellent. I rate this restaurant 9/10.

Really nice food. Just be careful if you're using the restrooms and it has been raining as the ground outs8de gets very slippery.

Absolutely divine pasta. One of the best meals I've ever had. Lovely interior too, very rustic and pretty cozy.

A cute little Italian restaurant hidden in Kingston, with its homey rustic feel, this is definitely a place you want to visit.
I have been here several times & is does not disappoint, the seafood Siciliana is definitely high on my favourites on the menu.
Would definitely recommend.

Delicious Italian flavours and excellent table service. Recommend the King Prawns and Spaghetti Marinara.
