Indian Affair reviews
52Our experience was with takeaway. Nice staff terrible value for money. Small amount of food for the price. The main meal came in very small containers with a lot of sauce to hide that there wasn't much meat. Food was disappointing. We won't be going back.
Ordered takeaway, had it delivered. Butter chicken was good, naan was also very good. Tandoori chicken was overcooked, dry and horrible. $30 for inedible chicken is enough for me not to order from here again.
It was our first time at the Indian Affair Restaurant, first thing i noticed was the cosy feel of the restaurant with the sloped ceiling and exposed beams.
We had dinner there, loved it, very nice Indian cuisine, I tried the Goan fish curry, the kids and the wife had butter chicken, and the Bombay aloo With goat meat, we all loved our meals, Surinder the owner was very welcoming and made us feel at home.
Been going here for a long long time for any special event. Staff are friendly and the food is quite good. My personal favourite is the butter chicken (it is on the slightly sweet side be warned) and will probably keep going as long as they exist. My favourite Indian restaurant.
My partner and I visited here for Valentines Day. We got the set menu and enjoyed the entire experience. The staff were welcoming and accommodating (we don't eat lamb so they substituted it to samosas without any hesitation). The food arrived promptly and tasted incredible. The entrees came with a special homemade sauce that was fresh and tasty. The butter chicken was creamy and paired well with the garlic naan, which was incredibly soft and tasty by itself (rice was also served). The prawns were fresh and well cooked, the vegetable curry crunchy and full of flavour. I do not have a sweet tooth but the kulfi falooda was an amazing end to the menu! The only bad thing is, is that it's all the way in woden, gungalin would have been great Overall a great experience, highly recommended, will visit again.
Am surprised that this rest' is not a fav, ambience is very good, food is better than any in take aways or rests in phillip but they are away from crowd due to price.briyani us 24 Aud.take away 25.a bit over prized is'int it. I am sure they will in favz if price is matched to other compettrz in the area.
I ordered takeaway and was impressed by the number of dishes that were gf and df. Flavourful, authentic, quick and lovely staff. Looking forward to trying more of the menu!
Fantastic meal (most popular banquet on their menu) and friendly service. We'll be dining there again.
Got some good takeaway from here on multiple occasions, the staff are always happy and welcoming and the food is great for a cheeky night on the couch.
I ordered two garlic naan and a half tandoori chicken for takeaway. But I got saffron rice instead of garlic naan and I didn't get tandoori chicken. It's not expected.
This restaurant has the best bread ever, yes I said ever (how rare is that?). And really good Chicken Korma and Lamb Vindaloo. Enjoyed dinner here.
My family love visiting this restaurant. The Butter Chicken is delish and the service is always friendly and welcoming. Take away is also great!
The food left us with reflux all night. Not sure if it was the oil that they used but an awful night followed. The servings were small and arrived cold. We paid 125 dollars and were bitterly disappointed. They also forgot to include everything but didn't bother to deliver it and just said they.would reimburse that part of the meal. A long wait for nothing. Never again. There are so much better Indian restaurants.
My partner and I travel a lot for work and we always make sure we try the Palak Paneer Indian dish in every town we travel to. This meal by far, was one of, if not the best Palak Paneer we’ve ever had. The cheese was fresh, flavors very fragrant, and the customer service was delightful. I’ll be back again before we head off. Well done!
Food wasn't great for the price, should have taken the restaurants emptiness as quite a hint, ordered 3 dishes, none of which were particularly interesting, would not recommend,
good service, not great food though
This place is the real deal. Amazing Indian food, Maybe the best I’ve ever had! Staff always lovely and create a lovely experience.

Don’t understand the couple of bad reviews, must be opposition restaurant! Haha! Idiots!:)
Was the best Indian in Canberra until the change of ownership/management a couple years back. Now watered-down and bland
Very impressed. First time at an Indian restaurant, and definitely not the last!
Great food, great service. Will be back to try some other dishes, hopefukly in the not to distant future!
Fantastic food!
My partner and I (both vegetarian) thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and my mother and sister (meat-eaters) also said their meals were delicious.
Highly recommend to anyone.
Just love This place. Have been to every Indian restaurant in woden and this is by far the best. The food is fantastic and the service very personal. We will miss it when we move on.
