Darbar indian restaurant

We tried the Darbar for the first time today and the food was great, freshly cooked very tasty and well presented. The mutton biryani and cheese naan was awesome. Overall a good meal and great value we will certainly be order back.

Hyderabadi biryani was so juicy and yummy here. I visited twice here before lockdown but today I ordered biryani and naans for take away. It was so tasty and yummy. I feel like eating biryani at Hyderabad.

The food here aren't too bad. When we lived at Mode 3 it definitely was very convenient to get to as it was just downstairs. Quite good Indian food. Yours truly @fooderarri

Loved the food, ambiance and customer service a lot over here. This is the best Indian food that I have had after coming to Australia. Taste of the food which I ate here reminded me of my city back in India.
Highly recommend this restaurant. I will come here again for sure!

We ordered 6 meals - 4 came out at the same time within 15 minutes - then we waited 10,15,20 minutes for the last 2 meals. We had to ask 2 different waiters if the other 2 meals were coming. After waiting another 10 minutes a waiter came back to re-take our orders. I asked if we could have complimentary rice with the last 2 meals because the rice was cold by this point. We waited another 10 minutes and finally received our meals. The meals themselves were quite nice but we had waited 45 minutes+ for the final 2 meals. When we received the bill we had been charged for the extra rice, and charged for an extra main which we have only just realised looking at the receipt. Very poor service - and there was no apology given from staff.

Horrible service.half of the food on menu was not even available.serviing food without ingredian.atlast when food came it was cold.so better have food from your fridge where you dont pay this much.very bad experience.

Usually don’t write negative reviews but this one scored this review! Worst experience ever! We ordered our food and kept on waiting for like 45 minutes and then waitress came around to ask if we had ordered the food? After advising her that we had ordered the food already, we were informed that the order they took in person didn’t go through their systems and we have to order again which meant waiting for another 20mins at least. I am amazed how are you running the business? We left the venue then and there. They do not have proper staffing system either. Don’t waste your time! Someone please tell me how to remove the 1 star I gave to this restaurant?

Food was the worst. The bowl was hot but the food was cold. I dont want to eat food from a microwave in a resturant.bad service.no floor manager to handle customers.only 2 employees serving on the floor with 9 guest groups.

Service was quite quick. My mild butter chicken was a bit too spicy for me, but otherwise tasty, and the Lamb shank curry my husband ordered was huge. All very reasonably priced.

Service was so bad we ended up walking out.if you want customers best you work on your Service delivery.shocking

Service was sluggish. Went there for the first time to order a take away. Two boys at the counter were very very busy in chit chatting and completely forgot that I was waiting there to place an order.
I went during non peak hours on a sunday and there were only two table to serve so feels like the workers were in a relaxed mood.
3 stars only for the food

2 to 3 hours minimum to deliver home. Had to follow up several times. Promised to deliver in 1 hour, but took almost 3 hours
Poor service.

Also, Food is not same quality as before.

I should admit that most authentic indian food gets served unless you mention about the spice level.
For most of the restaurant that claim authentic Indian cuisine served are just not real.
Darbar restaurant stands to its promise in authenticity

Totally unhygienic and messed up floor staff.
Visited the place last night and booked a table for 2. Restaurant was fairly empty and had a floor staff of 4.
We ordered 2 entree’s 2 mains. 1entree arrived after 15 minutes and the other chicken 65 arrived after almost 40 mins after asking the waiter about it.
The chicken 65 they served had a literally unwashed spoon on it and to add to gross (ness) the plate they served on had a small insect part on it (probably a roach) and when I bought this to their attention, there was no apology whatsoever and didn’t even asked for any other replacement neither did they say anything to rectify it. We were served water once and even after constantly asking the waiters for it no one paid attention. While paying the bill their machine stopped working and again had to wait 5-10 mins for it to work in the meanwhile there was no communication between us neither did they say what’s going on. They kept fidgeting with their device and finally we calculated the total and paid the whole amount.
But ABSOLUTELY WORST HYGIENE STANDARDS
EVEN WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
AND TO ADD TO IT NO GENERAL ETIQUETTES OF HOSPITALITY.
Would never recommend this place to any of my friends and family.

Not recommended. Ordered food over the phone and was told it will take 15 mins but when I came to the restaurant (after 1 hour) to collect the food the food was not ready. No one even apologise. Poor service.

Food is great. The wait staff are nice when they talk to you. But they seem more interested in their phones or talking with each other

Our trip to Canberra was awesome and delicious too because of this restaurant. We finally found the taste that we missed from Singapore. We became the fan vegetable biriyani and Egg biriyani. Thank you Darbar

They catered for our house warming ceremony and the food was just delicious! It was freshly made, the containers were filled till the brim and it filled our hearts to see the guests enjoy the meal.
Highlight were Malai kofta & Puran Poli- reminded me of my grandma

Ambient place and the food was upto the mark!
Lamb shank was thumb licking, so was the lababdar.
Rajita, we will see again for all our special occasions.
