Belluci's Manuka reviews
72The food is delicious, the service is prompt and friendly. The place is clean and tidy. When we went there it was busy but not crowded.
Finally got a chance to visit this place after saving it for years Nice window side view and super friendly staff. The young lady even brought the blackboard to us to introduce the current specials! We had the special tortellini filled with ricotta and pesto covered with lamb ragu which was indeed unique and worth trying I would say! Also had carbonara which surprisingly did not have much flavor and the sauce was a bit watery, not rich enough, without egg yolk feeling…
Overall nice place with decent amount of choices. Will come back and try their pizza
Refusal to accommodate pushing 2 tables together for a pre-booked done in experience for a large group.
Was told "we don't do that here"and told to "go back to Spain" by the manager. Nobody should support this business ever and the manager should be fired immediately.
Terrible experience with the manager tonight. Requested to move two tables together to accommodate the group. Response given was 'we don't do that here'. During the resulting discussion, one of the group compared his inflexible service to his experience in Spain. The manager smirked and told him to 'go back to spain'. Extremely rude and horrendous customer service.
Absolutely amazing food. I ordered a variety of food for pick up, including risotto con trota, penne Bellucis, Insulation di pomodoro and a creme Brulee. I was too hungry and failed to take any photos, I wish I had. The photos don't explain flavour, but my goodness, even in take away containers, the food looked super appealing, still warm and, gosh is only there was a way to describe flavour. I'll give it a go!
Penne was fresh flavourful, pancetta was nicely cooked and with that touch of chilli infused with garlic.yummy!
Next: the risotto rice was cooked to perfection and with smoked flavours of the trout, made this dish sensational and finger licking greatness.
Salad added to the flavours and allowed the palette to be cleansed in between the dishes. The salad was tasty on its own, I didn't even need to drizzle the dressing provided.
Hats off to the kitchen and waitstaff. Great operation. I will certainly be visiting this restaurant in person during my next trip to Canberra.
Difficult maitre is unable to accommodate reasonable seating rearrangements.
Spoke offensively to party guests
Had a lovely evening, thank you. Olivia was sensational looking after us, and the food
was wonderful. Highly recommend Belluci's.
I don’t normally leave reviews, however the atrocious attitude and behaviour of the manager warrants this one star rating.
We had a group booking of 13 people split across 2 tables. When the manager was asked if we could push the tables together we were told they do not do that and would not accomodate it. Not really the problem of this story.
The main issue, One of our group made a passing comment that in Spain the restaurant would’ve accommodated, to which the manager responded that they should go back to Spain.
This highly unprofessional and racist response is unacceptable and I strongly recommend Belucci’s look to their manager.
Large group booked weeks prior, Manager was inflexible and wouldn't allow tables to be brought together with the excuse "we don't do that here", after an exchange manager retorted "go back to your own country" where they are more flexible.
Absolutely terrible, refused to accommodate group with poor excuse and racist remarks.
Had 2 birthday parties there the food and staff were great, staff got involved of singing happy birthday as well
We made a booking for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Our party of 7 had a variety of dishes and all agreed that the food & drinks were fantastic. All of the staff were very friendly, courteous, and prompt, as well as considerate of the needs of the 3 kids we had with us. The vibe, music, and decor of Belluci's is brilliant too. Really cozy atmosphere with attention to details and quality. Feels fancy but very approachable. We'll be back again for sure!
Food not to my liking.
First time there & staff were not helpful with explaining about the menu & we weren't even told about blackboard specials.
I really like their new menu with more gluten free options. The food was top quality and service was efficient.
We chose Belluci's Manuka on review strength and the location. Essentially an upmarket ltalian Eatery with Pizza and Pasta the core of the menu. Went with a group of Seven and everyone found dishes to order. I should start by saying it is very pricey with Pizza bring $26 each and Pasta ranging from $30 -$38. I am not sure what l expected with my $31 fettuccine carbonara but it did not redeem itself as a $31 meal. I shared a Pizza with my son which was their Calabrese. I assumed it would have the traditional tomato and cheese base as well as sausage, roasted capsicum, mushrooms and fresh herbs. It didn't. So everything you picked up the pizza everything fell off. Sure it was tasty if you could keep it all on the base. Most everyone eating was reasonably pleased with their food, although my daughter could not eat the ricotta gnocci. I tried it and it was not great. The meal was somewhat saved bu multiple flavours of gelato/sorbet which l must say were smashing, especially the blood Orange and Passionfruit. Overall l felt like we paid about 40% more than it was worth. The finisher on the meal was an entire row of lights behind us that kept flashing on and off and back on again. By the time we were finishing up main courses and getting our dessert on, they had gone out completely. Talk about a real mood killer. We were a group of Seven and it was nearly $800! I know they have been there a long time, but it seems to me the need to adjust the pricing as it is hard to justify the large prices for some pretty plain food.
Always a great place to eat. Food is delicious and not overly salted, which is so rare these days. There are actually salt and pepper shakers on the table so you can to add your own, if needed, a much healthier option! The staff were fantastic, with a special shout out to the waitress Summer. She was so friendly and helpful and a real pleasure.
The staff was friendly. Everything was top notch but if your margarita doesn't have any taste then it means that you need to cook differently. Great way to kill your taste buds.
Excellent food and great service. Beef fillet was tender and tasty and the gnocchi was excellent. Book early to get a table.
Beautiful food with a wonderful wine selection - try the Mader Riesling. The service was friendly and welcoming. Thank you for a fantastic dining experience.
I ordered Ragu, I was surprised to find it actually tasted like water, my pasta was over cooked breaking easily and the beetroot was from a can and not roasted well if at all. Overall it tasted like a thrown together home cooked quick meal with whatever was in the cupboard after a night out. My partner had pizza he said the taste was nice but had effort chewing the base. The atmosphere was lovely, warm and staff were friendly.
Great restaurant in Manuka ACT. Enjoyed a special celebration meal. Lovely menu choices. Loved my arancini as an entrée. Attentive staff. Will return in our next Canberra visit
