We had a mid week lunch catchup for SIX people. We settled on just garluc bread and mains that day off their lunch menu. The bread was actually a garlic pizza and delicious. Four of the troops had veal options with a couple adding the prawns. I actually had the sirloin (requested rare) and the last person had the risotto. My steak was perfectly cooked and accompanied by a variety of veggies. We ordered wine as well as a BYO.

Summary.service great, ambience, prices were good and view of lake was great. Everyone enjoyed their meals and will return. A great lunch enjoyed by all!

Right from their entree to mains till desserts you have platora of scrumptious food options. I can bet it wont leave you disappointed. I felt bit on expensive side.but trust me it was worthit it will make your special occasion more special.plus large variety of vines to go with your food.

In frame: Gamberi - Prawns delicacy for entrees, for mains we ordered Pollo al funghi and lamb meat served with beans and mash patato.mama mia? It was drooling Thank You Team Bella Vista for amazing service ️

P. S - they are always booked specially on Friday and weekends so suggest a prior booking for a table

I’ve visited this restaurant quite a few times and have always enjoyed my visits. Great location, friendly staff and nice food with reasonable portion size. The seafood marinara risotto was delicious and seafood was fresh and nicely cooked. Chicken and mushroom pasta was also tasty. I’ll definitely visit again!

The restaurant itself is very dated and didnt match the prices of the food for what I expected.
I got to try a range of dishes as I wasn't a fan of what I initially ordered.

The Agnello dish was nice - lamb was cooked correctly and a decent portion size.
The Pappardelle Bistecca came with so little meat that you shouldn't order this based on the steak. It was nice though even for the small serving.
The Risotto con Pollo e Avocado wasn't to my taste and seemed very salty even with the cracked pepper all over it.

As for the deserts - they taste frozen and then defrosted - so don't recommend. Also the coffees we ordered were burnt and tasted very bitter. Even after adding a full cup of sugar it didn't help.

Excellent food in a picturesque lakeside setting. Easy booking on the phone, and no outrageous deposit requirements. Enjoy!

Whenever we try to order there is ALWAYS an issue, that’s no exaggeration. So not bothering anymore. I dislike leaving bad reviews but I am so frustrated.

We had a work Christmas party here, and the staff were helpful and friendly. Good views of Lake Ginninderra and delicious food. Worth a visit.

I am vegetarian and saw Bella vistas menu had vegetarian pastas available. When I was at the restaurant I asked them if their veggie pastas contained parmesan (as parmesan contains animal-rennet and is not vegetarian-friendly) and they said it contains it.

It’s infuriating that they would advertise something as vegetarian when it contains animal fat. I am very unimpressed. I will not be coming here again.

If you are vegetarian, vegan or have any dietary restrictions do not come to this place as the staff clearly don’t know how to accomodate peoples dietary needs.

Average to say the least, gnocchi Gorgonzola was bland as anything and basically everything we ordered was just so plain and flavourless.

Customer service was poor, I watched a girl drop an order on the ground and say 'woops' then pick it up. I am still not sure if that was my order.

Final note would be that the 'art' hanging on the wall was all crooked and sloppy.

Over priced and underwhelmed

I always lover going to Bella Vista - a favourite for many years. Tonight's dinner was no exception. The fish of the day - Dory - was the best fish meal I have ever tasted! Succulent fish, beautifully cooked, with a magnificently flavoursome accompaniment.

My only complaint with Bella Vista is that as a vegetarian I always have to abandon my principles and eat fish. With climate change coming very fast we all need to lower our intake of meat and chicken, reduce the fish we eat to take the pressure off the planet. Seriously. I'd love to see what that great Bella Vista chef could do with plant based ingredients.
How about it, chef? I'll be back to check on what you come up with.

The food is always delicious, and service good. Those is our 'date night' restaurant of choice. We love that the chef clearly loves food which results in beautiful flavour combinations. My only criticism is that the olive oil for dipping the bread is a little bland, and as an Italian restaurant, you want the most amazing olive oil. Love the food, love the wine, love the atmosphere!

We've eaten at Bella Vista several times over the past few years and have always had excellent food and great customer service.

Nice food, nice views and good service, unfortunately, however, they desperately need to replace their chairs - they are absolutely filthy and disgusting. What’s worse, on my last visit, I looked at four chairs before choosing the best of the worst - they all had crumbs etc on them, ie they hadn’t even been wiped down.

Update 08/06/21: the restaurant has bought new chairs. They look great!

Not a great experience. Expensive for some very small serves (particularly the Misto Di Mare main of 1 prawn, 2 mussels, 2 tiny pieces of fish and 2 calamari rings, more like an entree). And who puts caramel sauce over their Tiramisu?

Dined as part of a large group. The team looked after us well and all our meals were fantastic and everyone enjoyed the experience. Will go there again.

For a semi expensive restaurant it would be nice if they were to check the order they are giving out is the right order through delivery
Especially when the dishes look completely different and there should be no confusion what so ever

Had a lovely relaxed evening with good friends and very good food. Service was patchy and decor in need of a refresh.seat fabric a little worse for wear.
