58 Not a good experience with the service this morning.
We thought we’d found a nice place that opens early & to recommend to our clients (tourists) but as soon as we went to sit at a booth one staff member abruptly intercepted with some issue about sitting inside. The other staff member seethed when we tried to clarify exactly what the issue was. Still don’t understand what their problem was.
Cannot understand how some businesses can accept your money & feel that they need to be rude to customers. Terrible attitude.
We get 5 star reviews because we’re nice to our customers, it’s not hard to be nice to the PAYING public nor does it cost anything!
Forgot us, not very professional, ended up with Costco platters. I understand Covid has devastated some businesses but surely lunch for the brides pre-wedding lunch would stick in your mind.
Went in today for lunch, worst experience ever. Staff were more concerned in my dollar value than anything else. Lunch was over priced for a cafe and very below average in taste and quantity. Coffee is the worst I've tasted watery and week. Will not be going back and don't waste your earnt money there. Very disappointing
Ordered a coffee and it took forever. People came after me and got their coffee before me. Really poor customer service. I think once staff found out that I only wanted a coffee and not a full breakfast they made sure to delay the order as much as possible. I brought this up with the lady at the counter and she responded as if she was least bothered. Keep up this attitude and you won’t last long. Was really keen to give this new place a try but sadly let down.
Good food but we were told our table was needed in 5min after being there less than an hour and hadn't finished eating. Should be up front with time limits.
There used to be wonderful and inspiring vegan meals last year and every 2 weeks or so they would change. Now there is a vegan chimichanga on the menu and it’s so bland and uninspiring. I’m so upset how the new chef overlooks vegan options.
Popular place with office workers, close to government buildings. It's also a good spot if you're working on your laptop. Cafe menu with some great food options. I especially liked the rosti.
Delicious food, eggs Benedict and French toast are winners! The coffee was average though, and the place could use better atmosphere, it’s a bit clinical inside.
We went for breakfast. There were some interesting dishes here that I had never seen before as well as some upscaled standards like the breakfast roll. The avocado and fig toast was particularly interesting. Gluten free options looked good also. The only downside is that the black tea options were somewhat bland (only English Breakfast).
Nice French toast but a bit pricey. Pretty cold in the winter time (coming around 9am), supposed to turn on the heater for everyone.
Loved the experience at this cafe. Delicious and healthy easy to start the morning and well presented as well. Have to try the chia pudding - highly rate it. Regards @fooderarri
Food and coffee are 5 star. The cold press coffee was perfect for a hot summer morning, and the day's special of cherry ripe french toast was outstanding. Minus one star for the outside chairs which were fiercely uncomfortable ️.
Located in the Churches centre on Benjamin Way. Popular venue because of close proximity to a number of office buildings. Much better than other similar cafes because of bar, indoor and outdoor seating as well as quality of customer service, custom coffee blend and delicious menu options. Catering and after hours party bookings available on request. Fast service and reasonably priced also.
Very good place for breakfast. They have amazing Poke Bowls:).
Also the eggs choice is very good. Very good coffee. There is outdoor sitting, so dogs are welcome.
Plenty of street parking.
I have never had a bad meal here. Yesterday I ordered the prawn tacos and they were delicious! The Benjamin bowl, avocado toast and beef burger were all well recieved on the table. Service was warm and friendly and meals are well priced and arrived very quickly. Cannot recommend highly enough!
The Korean chicken Benedict was unique and amazing. I was not expecting such a different combination to taste so good. Coffee was great too
This is our new Fav place for breakkie.
Egg benny was awesome, juicy and tender.
French toast was awesome as well but I think its slightly more too sweet to finish the whole dish.
Awesome coffees too. Recommended place
Sooo yummy! We came from Melbourne and we’re looking for a nice place near our hotel (Mercure) 54 Benjamin was a 2 min drive and the food was delicious and so flavourful. 10/10, service was great to. Thanks guys! ’
The 5 of us ordered 5 different dishes and none of us had other-people’s-dinner envy. The food is so good and so fresh and the service second to none.
Tom runs a great little coffee shop that also sometimes open for after-work drinks, but this is unreliable. As an after hours venue, it has sadly never recaptured the magic of the much missed 54b.
